If I start training for a marathon am I going to lose all my gains? I want to do it just to check it of my bucket list of fitness achievements. Aiming for 2hr 40m so it's going to take some training but it's not an insane goal.
>>77270748You'll be fine if you eat for it. It's not like you're going to run more than one marathon a year any how. Most of your runs are going to be 8 milers and a few 16s here and there. The most major consideration is going to be doing it at a heavier weight than most of the other runners so you're going to want splurge for the most glass knee shoes and knee compression shit you can get even if you don't feel like you "need" it.
>>77270748maybe make it 3:00 if you are worried about your gains
>>77270748you're not going to get to a 2:40 if you're a lifter, just no fucking way dude, only people I know who've gotten to that point were cross country runners who's never been above a BMI of 20 in their lives
>>77270748Just do a half-marathon man
>>77270748Impossible. You'll die
