I was a little overweight and I have genetically high bad cholesterol. I'm 18 if it matters

I started exercise more but mostly I lost weight eating lots of eggs. My body is much better shape but my bad cholesterol is up much higher now. Otherwise, my blood tests improved.

Every part of my health is improved with eating many eggs - I feel much better too. But, my bad cholesterol raising because of it. (I also eat barley, legumes, veg, fruit, mushrooms, and occasionally meat)

Yes I talk to my doctor. He doesn't approve. What do you guys think?
>>
All I know is that doctors are jews and cholesterol is the precursor to testosterone.
>>
>>77274470
but doctors are trained professionals.
>>
Cholesterol is the precursor of your hormons and to vitamin D
Cut the vegetables down, eat more fruits and meat, keep the eggs, consume more fish
There's no "bad cholesterol" per se it's one molecule and it's a steroid literally. He's probably fearmongering you over LDL which case he should have his license revoked
>>
>I have high cholesterol. What should I do?
>Eat less vegetables.
You couldn't make this up if you tried.

Go carnivore and look up Anthony chaffees/ken Berry yt videos on cholesterol

Oh OK its you. Carry on spamming. I won't even ask you to post your body this time, since we all know you never do.
>>

>trained professionals

Yes, as I said, jews.
>>
>>77274532
They aren’t trained in healthy eating.

LDL cholesterol isn't cholesterol. It carries fats and proteins around your body, because fats wouldn't mix with your blood. I'm pretty sure it's essential for recovery, but I may be wrong. Also, your doctor probably didn't have to take many classes on cholesterol, so most of his knowledge is based on articles fed to him that are paid for by companies that want to demonize fats. If he wants you to take statins, don't.
>>
Op here.

My current dr and last 2 drs all said they worry about my bad cholesterol. All wanting me to take statens. All said exercise & losing weight (when I was overweight) won't help you.

I have friends that are family to me, that they send me videos mostly of this old lady that she says LDL levels limit use to be higher, and talks about other things like "myths" drs tell you. The drs made me pretty nervous but I really won't give up eggs.

Am I building plaque in my arteries ?
>>
>>77274803

Guess what happens when you take statens

THEY GET FUCKING PAID
>>
>>77275025
How do you guys know this?
>>
>>77274532
no you should listen to anonymous 4chan users.
>>
>>77275029

That's just how it works in the USA. It's an industry.
>>
>>77274803
> that they send me videos
Don't get health advice from YouTubers.
>she says LDL levels limit use to be higher
right because they realized CVD occurs at those higher ranges.

>>77275025
They have been clinically proven to work. Doctors getting paid(they don't) has no influence is the medication works or not. If it were up to me I would pay them more just to encourage them being prescribed more as they have almost zero side effects and would drastically decrease the amount of CVD occurrences in our population.

so we should trust our doctors on this topic right? take the statins?
>>
>>77274695
Neither are you, fatty.
>>
>>77274462
Yeah, retards on /fit/ love parroting that dietary cholesterol isn't absorbed, but it is, just at a low rate of about 15%. Which sounds insignificant... until you eat a shit ton of dietary cholesterol. That 15% adds up just like how 15% more calories every day adds up to make you a fucking fatty over time.
>>
>>77274470
I'm ready to forsake all jew science at this point and start eating a dozen eggs a day.
My life is in God's hands now, if I die from high cholesterol, his will be done.

That means your post is also fake and should not be trusted thus we should keep engaging

It's more of a frustration post and wanted opinions on the issue

Similar story here OP, except I'm skinny.
>be 30 and fit
>perfect blood pressure and liver enzymes
>airhead doc says my cholesterol is too high
>I have to explicitly refuse a statin
My hundred-year-old aunts and uncles all have "off the charts" cholesterol regardless of their weights, diets, and prescriptions. They are doing just fine. Cholesterol can potentially point to a problem but like so much of health science it becomes a ridiculous headache very quickly- what kind of cholesterol is it, is it oxidized or unoxidized, etc. Since you're exercising and eating a varied diet I doubt it will be a problem- at 18 especially- and their efforts to "fix" it could make things worse or just waste your time and money. As others have said, certain parties make a huge amount of money when someone gets put on a long-term medication, be it a statin, blood thinner, or antidepressant. That financial gain isn't a guarantee that what they propose is bad for you, but sadly that's the world today and you should weight it as part of your perspective on this. Virtually no 18-year-old actually needs a statin.
Do you take any supplements? Something like black seed oil or grape seed extract could bring those numbers down, if you're still worried or just want to appease the doc. Do your own research of course, whether it's a doctor or a cyber-stranger you're talking to. Going to another doc for a second opinion is also a possibility. Even well-informed and well-meaning advice isn't always the best, and you have to figure a lot out yourself no matter what. GL out there.

If you've read (normally this would come after the next word as "if you've read his post" but i doubt you can read at all) his quirk chungus blogpost you'd know that he's healthy and just fucking around and theory crafting because he has the wherewithal and time and youth to do so
If he were a grifter he'd just tell you to chug down liquid butter then buy his supplements
