I am a welder by trade and i work 4 to 3:30 4 days a week. I work out twice a week (i try and go heavy low volume or 6 ×3) is there a way to work out with a physically strenuous job? I do what I can but I dont want to rely on my job to keep me in shape because as soon as you do you become a lard of ass. Im just looking for input and advice. Thank you.
How physical is it exactly to be a welder?
Just do a regular workout, but lighter.
>>77275274I have done light factory work even girls can do 4 days a week and 12 hour shifts. You should be fine.
>>77275287Depends on what kind of welder you are.
>>77275417I am the blue collar kind
>>77275274>welderHow are your eyes anon?
>>77275274welding really ism't that physically strenuousare you also a fitter?
Day 1 (the day before your first shift) trainDon’t train day 2 (first day of work)Train the morning before work on Day 3 Don’t train day 4 Train on the evening after your last shift day 5Don’t train again until the day before your first shift
>>77275274>I am a welder by trade and i work 4 to 3:30tradies be like>bro you should just go bluecollar>i make gud money >i don't need no collagethen they fail to mention their life is pure fucking hell. when do you even work out wtf
>>77276153I work the same schedule, most people who work 12 hour days only work 3 days one week and 4 days the next.
>>77275274Did you do absolutely 0 research before posting this? What's up with zoomers and needing info baby birded into their assholes. Where I work (I'm an engineer but go down to the shop frequently to stretch my legs and shoot the shot), the welders are either twinks or lardasses.
>>77275274SS forever. Quite literally the working mans workout. 3 lifts, forever running a 3x5 or 5x5 on it.
>>77276153that may be true but still need people in trades. We cant have everyone working a white collar job
>>77275274Turn everything into a sven lift.
>>77276153>i can’t even change a tire we get it bro you’re a completely helpless baby
>>77275274You just do it man. I did trades in the military and we PT’d 3 days a week before work and I’d hit the gym by myself another 3 days, alternating. Gym efficiency is the name of the game, cut your work outs down to 45 minutes tops, in and out, short rest periods.
>>77276580This.
>>77275274I work 7 days 6-6 every other week in the summer and im on the road for most of it so just try to eat decent, get a lift in whenever I have a chance and focus on lifting during the 4-6 months I dont work because blue collar jobs are great.
>>77275844My eyes?
>>77275274Eat a shit ton of food and get the highest quality sleep you can. That should be enough. >>77275287I never actually worked as a welder, but I took a welding course years ago. The job itself wasn't hard, but the heat, the weird poses you have to do at times, and the need to keep your hands and body so steady made me really tired by the end of each class. I always got home really hungry and slept like a rock. And the classes were only couple hours...
>>77277294Retards think its bad for your eyes. They dont know how good hoods are these days. And you almost need perfect eyes to be good at it anyway
>>77275274Been doing it for 13 years and it never gets easy, especially if you have kids. Home gym has saved me. Something like 531 in which you hit a top set and 1-3 down sets is really efficient. Also circuit training (WALRUS) and pilates. Yes, pilates… at home. If you don’t know why now then you will understand in a decade
