Hello, frens. I just started walking today. I decided to walk 40 minutes 4 days a week. That seems to hit the recommended 150 minutes of cardio a week. But I had some questions.

When I get used to the walking, I was thinking of adding some calisthenics afterwards too since simply walking doesn't seems to be very good. But, I do not have much time to spare. Instead of walking 40 minutes, can I reduce the time I walk and more time towards calisthenics.
For now, I don't want to add too much and stick to walking since I'm liable to give up if I too take on too much in my plate(metaphorically, since taking too much on my plate is exactly how I ended up a fatass).

How do I stop the hunger? You see, I have a binge eating disorder, which is exacerbated by my long and exhausting day at college and work. Then also, exercising makes my hunger go on overdrive and I want to binge.

Should I do these 4 days of walking consecutively or every other day? I heard you're supposed to give 48 hours to repair the muscles but my legs and knees don't have any pain, so I was thinking of just doing the workout consecutively.

idk how much of a deficit 1500 cal is for you but it can look like you stall even on 1k cal deficit just due to above factors, even stuff like food being in stomach or needing to shit etc.

be patient, come back in a week and check the scale and im sure it will have shfited, unless you're not counting calories proeprly at all

If we're being technical, walking really isn't 'cardio'. If you're a sedentary fatass you can count it as such, but down the line it needs to be heart rate stressful.

Calisthenics is resistance training, and is very different from cardio. You should be doing both.

You can walk as much as you want, walking isn't resistance training. The 24-72h 'rule' is for working out the same muscle groups. Progressive overload resistance training.
If you don't have the time, I suggest using your legs as much as possible, standing when possible etc. to bring your NEAT level up, and concentrate on the diet side. Eating protons all throughout the day, quitting simple carbs entirely, getting 50-70g of high quality fats.

Did the body composition analyser thing again. Same facility and device so the differences should be at least somewhat accurate.
Overall pretty happy about my progress, did loads of walking, zero strength training.
I'll start lifting once I can run a sub 60 minute 10k, or at least that's the current plan, I hate lifting.

Finally went to an actual gym, not just a planet fitness. Only ever did machines prior. Benched for the first time, fucked up how to set up bench but guy there helped lower the leg portion for me and kinda showed me how to set up the catch bars without really saying anything. The ideal.

Benched with just the bar to get form and positioning, had to scoot bench around a lot. Got settled, slapped a 10kg per side and got to five reps. Felt good and upgraded to 20kg per side for another five. Tried to go for 30kg per side, actually licked it out but couldn't track it and I ended up lowering it onto my chest and couple guys had to help me.

Went back to 20kg per side and added fat gripz for another five.

Propped my heels up on a 20kg plate and did goblet squats with a 70lb kettlebell for three sets of five, full depth.

Finished out with farmers carry, 35lb per hand. Didn't time per carry, just did a couple laps around the gym between rests for four sets.

Really excited, first time working with free weights and kept good form throughout. Can't wait to go back tomorrow and work on more. Best thing about working with free weights is everything is a pr again, and that sense of progression week by week is gonna come back. I can tell this is gonna motivate me for a while.

Well, you go at it at stages. First 18%, then 15% and each 1% after that. The stages mean you need to change things. Diet, workout intensity, total cardio amount. Finding a balance is the key here so you can stay consistant, and you don't want the body to adapt at the same time, so you need to change things fast. Things like carb cycling, genetic range and rest optimization become an underlined thing. Below 15% is where you need all the skills that you've learned throughout the journey.
Cardio is needed for the increased endurance demand (helps with resistance training), you need to start spamming workouts (helps with activity level rise & muscle building). Depending on how you want to do things you either grow the hands now by trying to recomp, or you'll want to go with what you have and enter a cut. There's really no mystery to it.

What kind of buns do you want to make? The problem is how sugary american style burger buns are, they taste awful if you eat them with anything else. You can make your own buns but need to pay close attention to calories and sugar content and don't expect it to taste like normal buns. I recommend just skipping the bun for lettuce because you put lettuce on your burger anyway.
