I had shoulder impingement earlier this year (Jan) but it went away thanks to physio and adjusting my sleep posture...I slept slightly wrong today (I think my pillow was too flat) and my shoulder hurts again real bad.How do you guys deal and train with shoulder impingement? I just don't know what to fucking do about it...
You fix all the imbalances in rotator cuff. Strong serratus anterior is a must. Also sleeping on your back with your hand slightly raised on a pillow at the side of your body, and another pillow on your chest to prevent internal rotation.
>>77332659You mean this kind of position?I used to do it but man I can't sleep on my back I literally can't breathe in that position. I did it for a while when my inflammation was really bad but man my sleep sucked then.

>>77332651I got it, and I just didn't train. Everytime I did, bad things happened. This was the case for months. After I randomly tried a deadhang it became so bad one morning I couldn't move my arm in any direction at all and I was in agony for days. Couldn't sleep. So I just did nothing again and within a few weeks it healed for some reason. Then I did the rehab stuff Chatgpt told me and gradually I added in rows, bench, OHP lat pull downs (all light for now). Hoping for chins and pullups soon.
anon, shoulder impingement is actually real, it's more of a tendinopathy. Best way is to load it slowly and over time while minimizing flare up and shit that irritates it. Try a big de load and slowly (and over time) add more weight little by little.if you want more info check out these guyshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ly7b9hfe07M
>>77332651You are pinching your tendons through your sockets under load at a bad angle
>>77332832Yes. Head is too hugh tho. Take glycine, magnesium. It will help to fall asleep. Check for sleep apnea. Or try turning your head on the side.Sleep on the other shoulder. Put a pillor infront of you and under your injured hand.Lot's of things speed up the process. Like d3+k2+mag. Colkagen, hyaluronic acid, near infra red massage.Your current goal is to let it heal. Then strengthen it with static holds. Look up how supraspinatus works. And to get rid of shoulder impigmenrt. Look up how to train rotator cuff and scapular control. It's cobtr intuitive, but you actuallt need to stretch or do static holds for supraspinatys despite mild pain. That's the onlt way tendons recover. Just don't overdo it.
