>it's gonna take a year+fuuuuuuug
Btw. 2 months ago I either asked here or in the japan general, if loosing weight when traveling through japan is real. And today I can say it truly is. But for that you need to be an idiot like me. In those two months there were at most 5 days where I walked less than 10k steps. I sometimes just ate once a day and I walked a TON. I hesitated eating fast food and either went to conbini or ate kura sushi. I did eat fastfood: bai mc double, kfc, burgers, famichicken e.g. but japanese burgers are much smaller than the European equivalent. I probably lost close to 8-10kg and I am trying to continue now back home.
can you cystmaxx to lose weight?>inject something to cause cyst>cyst eats like 5lbs of fat space>remove and repeat
My bmr seems to be shit. Inclined to do the PSMF diet at 1068 calories eatten a day. I weightlift 4x/week. And then do treadmill incline after words. Rest days I hit the bike indoor for HITT (all cardio is capped at 30 minutes), and basically do yoga prior to it.
Chicken thigh tastes so fucking good compared to breast.I'm gonna eat thigh for a while.
>>77447646Should I reduce it down to 1068, or go for something like 1700-1900kcal?

>>77448087don't be an idiot. Extensive periods of zero or very low calorie consumption cause liver to eject cholesterol, which leads to the formation of gallstones. You don't want that shit. Instead of fasting, just lower your calorie intake reasonably and take it slowly.

In doing so, they reacted to what they saw as the negative consequences of social changes in the 19th century.>Spiritually, the Lebensreform turned to new religious and spiritual views, including theosophy, Mazdaznan, and yoga. Many late neo-romanticism elements were also taken up, along with a glorification of the "simple life in the country". Dozens of magazines, journals, books, and pamphlets were published on these topics. The Lebensreform movement encompassed a wide spectrum of ideological affiliations. I thought they were given the same number of calories. Yes, both diets were isocaloric, the same calories. Yet, just eating meat-free led to significantly more weight loss—about six pounds more; more waist loss, a slimmer waist; lower cholesterol, of course; and less superficial fat, meaning the external jiggly fat; and most importantly, significantly more visceral fat loss––the most metabolically dangerous deep belly fat. That's because some of the energy fed their gut microbes and was excreted rather than stored.>A review of simple thermodynamic principles shows that weight change on isocaloric diets is not expected to be independent of path (metabolism of macronutrients) and indeed such a general principle would be a violation of the second law. >Dietary fiber is largely indigestible, meaning it does not provide the standard 4 calories per gram associated with other carbohydrates. Instead, its impact on calorie absorption varies by type: insoluble fiber contributes 0 calories as it passes through the digestive tract unchanged, while soluble fiber is fermented by gut bacteria into short-chain fatty acids, providing approximately 2 calories per gram.

>When we eat thylakoids––when we bite into a leaf of spinach, for instance––those green leaf membranes don’t immediately get digested. They can last for hours in our intestines, and that’s when they work their magic. Thylakoid membranes bind to lipase. Lipase is the enzyme our body uses to digest fat; so, if you bind the enzyme, you can slow fat absorption. It’s like a natural version of the fat-blocking drug orlistat, but without the anal leakage. This is because the effects of the thylakoids are temporary. Unlike the drug, the thylakoids do finally break down eventually, freeing the lipase enzyme to do its job before fat comes spilling out your other end. Ultimately, fat absorption is not so much blocked by thylakoids as it is delayed.>If all the fat is eventually absorbed, what’s the benefit? Location, location, location. There’s a phenomenon known as the ileal brake. The ileum is the last part of the small intestine before it empties into your colon. When undigested calories are detected that far down in our intestines, our body thinks we must be full from stem to stern, and puts the brakes on eating more by dialing down our appetite. This can be shown experimentally. If you insert a nine-foot tube down people’s throats and drip in any calories—fat, protein, or sugar—you can activate the ileal brake. Then, sit them down to an all-you-can-eat meal, and compared to the placebo group who had just gotten a squirt of water through the tube, they eat over 100 calories less. You just don’t feel as hungry. You feel just as full, eating significantly less. That’s the ileal brake in action.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3cTcBSYAaQ

>>77448422>Now this is very dishonest, you know it's impossible to measure life expectancy of a lifestyle that is somehow recent.Japan had a meat ban from 675 AD till the Meiji era. They have started eating animal meat and dairy just recently. 19th century travellers noted that the Japanese were repulsed by animal milk. The only exception was fish, meaning that was their only animal food, and even so - this didn't apply to the Buddhist monks who shunned fish as well. For Buddhist monks in Japan it was a norm to live till their 70s even in the absence of modern medicine as early as the 12th century.

Even among the healthiest population in the scientific literature, who have been practicing meat avoidance as a religious principle since whenever their cult was founded, vegetarians have higher life expectancies.

>It has been shown that it is possible to modify macronutrient oxidation, physical fitness and resting energy expenditure (REE) by changes in diet composition. Furthermore, mitochondrial oxidation can be significantly increased by a diet with a low glycemic index. The purpose of our trial was to compare the effects of a vegetarian (V) and conventional diet (C) with the same caloric restriction (-500 kcal/day) on physical fitness and REE after 12 weeks of diet plus aerobic exercise in 74 patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). An open, parallel, randomized study design was used. All meals were provided for the whole study duration. An individualized exercise program was prescribed to the participants and was conducted under supervision. Physical fitness was measured by spiroergometry and indirect calorimetry was performed at the start and after 12 weeks Repeated-measures ANOVA (Analysis of variance) models with between-subject (group) and within-subject (time) factors and interactions were used for evaluation of the relationships between continuous variables and factors. Maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) increased by 12% in vegetarian group (V) (F = 13.1, p < 0.001, partial η2 = 0.171), whereas no significant change was observed in C (F = 0.7, p = 0.667; group × time F = 9.3, p = 0.004, partial η2 = 0.209). Maximal performance (Watt max) increased by 21% in V (F = 8.3, p < 0.001, partial η2 = 0.192), whereas it did not change in C (F = 1.0, p = 0.334; group × time F = 4.2, p = 0.048, partial η2 = 0.116). Our results indicate that V leads more effectively to improvement in physical fitness than C after aerobic exercise program.https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27792174/>>77448473is cannibalism forbidden in your fake religion?

So last week I had my birthday>cake obviously, fell on a day I would usually lift but didn't end up doing so because, ate a pizza for lunch because mumza wanted to take me out and suggested this place; drank a load of beer; steak and chips for dinner; next day grandparents: wine and more cake; saturday went out to a concert but people wanted to go for a meal first when I wouldn't normally and ended up getting a desert because others were. Still got in walks nearly every day and still two days last week lifting but because of all the above - and having a couple more biscuits and pints than normal - I took a waist measurement today and seem to be up half an inch. I feel like I can't shift this weight; spend months building up the amount of exercise I do only to eat or drink something a have it put on ounce for ounce.

Going back to college this semester and I'm genuinely praying I'll be able to work out there instead but I checked the recreational hours for the gym (they still haven't updated it and it has 2024 or 2025 schedule still up on the site, I can't remember) and the hours are completely fucking AIDs. Fuck my entire life.

When I go about half the time there's a spic couple that spend an outrageously long time using the equipment, and the other day this one cholo took the ex curl bar, set it up, then didn't use it at all and used the fixed weight ez curl bar and the preacher curl setup, taking up a bench AND that for like 45 minutes and I never saw him do more than one set.Meanwhile I had an angry guy bitching at me one of the few times I used the pull up bar in the squat rack at my previous gym.

If, according to certain anons, carbs are the sole determining factor that make you fat rather than CICO, why weren't medieval peasants who ate almost entirely carbs fat?
how am i supposed to eat my nutella if bread is evil
>>77449178People who say carbs make you fat are retarded but that is a bad exmaple. They were all poor and has limited access to food bro.
>>77449178Grain eaters have historically been fat, from Ancient Egypt to Ancient China and Europe. Roman gladiators ate grain to get fat so they could get cut without their internal organs being damaged.Obesity wasn't a prevalent problem because people knew that grains were fattening. So if they wanted to stay lean they would reduce carb consumption and increase fat consumption. Traditional understanding of obesity was wiped out by CICO which was advertised by the sugar industry. That is why the obesity epidemic happened after everyone learned about calories, not before.

Personal opinion is if that you're diabetic or prediabetic, or if anyone in your family is, keto is probably something that you should do. The main advantages of keto if you are just fat is mostly that it curbs hunger and also forces you to start actually reading nutrition labels and ingredients.
>>77449199>Grain eaters have historically been fat, from Ancient Egypt to Ancient China and Europe. Roman gladiators ate grain to get fat so they could get cut without their internal organs being damagedEveryone ate grain primarily. Gladiators ate MORE to get fat. >Obesity wasn't a prevalent problem because people knew that grains were fattening. So if they wanted to stay lean they would reduce carb consumption and increase fat consumption.Fat wasn't readily available to most of the population as a staple economically, no one outside the rich were ever concerned with growing fat historically. >Traditional understanding of obesity was wiped out by CICO which was advertised by the sugar industry. That is why the obesity epidemic happened after everyone learned about calories, not before. The obesity epidemic happened because food became cheap, plentiful, tasty and able to be obtained easily without cooking yourself along with the popularization of sugary beverages. No one in pre industrial Japan was growing fat despite mostly eating rice and fish because they weren't eating calorie dense food. This isn't rocket science. Most people historically weren't fat and nearly none of them ate keto. I don't deny that it CAN work as a method of calorie restriction but pretending it's the primary or only way to lose weight is retarded and historically ignorant.

>>77449228You're just making things up because you are a fat carb addict and don't want to stop eating fattening grains.>Because the chemical levels in the skeletons showed a high strontium-to-calcium ratio, the researchers concluded that the gladiators followed a mainly plant-based diet rich in grains and beans. >>77449243You fucking retard I wasn't denying that they ate a bunch of grains. What I pointed out is that everyone else did too. The difference is in the amount. The massive population of slaves and citizens weren't getting most of their calories from milk, eggs and meat.

>>77449246>burger buns and breakfast sandwichesthat does sound good
>>77449262So? Historically, fat people existed. The ones who tended to be more fat were the ones who ate a higher proportion of their diet as grains. Ancient Egyptians were fat and had heart disease from eating bread.Traditional wisdom about diet was that starch and sugar were fattening. After people were taught that the calorie measurement is related to obesity (it isn't) everyone became obscenely fat and lost the ability to control their weight. You eat carbs.
