After lifting for 4 consecutive years, I kind of lost that inner fire I had by pushing myself to the extreme everyday and going 5-6 a week, doesn't help that after a few years the gains slow down.

The last 2 weeks I've only been going 2x/week and doing full body, maybe I just need a few months to cooldown, but as of now I see other aspects of life as more important such as career/studying and learning other stuff. Thanks for reading my blog, /fit/.

2x/week fullbody is legit man. You may even make more gains if your old routine was causing long term fatigue. Congrats on reframing your goals.

This is part of why I do such a simple routine
all I have to do is one set of squat, dead, bench, and press, once a week to maintain. I've always wondered what those people who do dozens of exercises do when they no longer fee like going 6 days a week

my gains have crazy increased since i lowered volume, increased intensity and frequency and do more cardio and eat more vegetables
it's crazy

I was in your shoes, but worse, and going carnivore completely reversed it. Now the fire is back and I train harder than ever

carnivore completely ruined everything for me
always lethargic no joy

Consider rows and chins for injury prevention, only pushing can be dangerous long term. These 6 movements are all I do.

It's perfectly normal.
Unless you're an athlete (you aren't) it simply doesn't make sense to autistically prioritize lifting.
Real life stuff matters more.

Sounds like you've gotten to strong for your training style.
Tone down the training volume so you don't generate as much fatigue

I have strong baseline strength on those from just deadlifts so figure they're not necessary
