Any swimmers here? I tried swimming and it was tough. Felt great and definitely will be doing it again.

I did it in the past. I felt so relaxed after swimming, it feels like medidating for an entiee hour, but at the same time you're working out your entire body and building cardiopulmonary capacity.
Other forms of exercises can reduce stress, but the state you achieve when being submerged, not bothered by noise or people, is unparalleled.
I've got to get back to swimming, but I get so fatigued from my upper body workouts that I think I would have to choose between the two...

I know what you mean. I felt so chill after the swim, and probably had the best sleep in years.

It will be tough to program. I might just commit to it for a while, and just do one upper body day a week.

I love it and if my cold keeps going away at this pace I'm back in the pool next week. I'm by no means
>a swimmer
I'm just a guy who likes to swim.

There are lifting programs that are adapted to do together with sports. I do Tactical Barbell and swim on upper days in an ULUL split plus one extra time per week. Just think of swimming as active rehab instead of a thing you have to get really good at, then in time you can shift your goals depending on the circumstances. The cardio from swimming has helped me immensely with my running, plus the relaxation aspect, as you've already mentioned.

It's relaxing, but also stimulating at the same time. Just feels good to be in water.

I'm think of experimenting with swimming and kbs. Just alternate days or something. I'm thinking about taking up cross country skiing this winter, so that could be a potent mix.

swimming is awesome but i don't want to pay entry fee every time i want to do cardio, that would add up quick for a poorfag.
i wear cheap running shoes and have a used bike that will last for decades.

Good shit. Really good exercise and a good skill as well. And its fun going to the pool. Its a nice break in the routine.

No one swims? Definitely a brown board now

It's best to avoid absorbing tap water and chlorine into the body.

There's a pond/lake near my house, should I just jump in and start going from one end to the other?
>>
>>77548100
Hell yeah dude
>>
I used to be on swim team in grade school. Hadn't swam for cardio in 10 years until last week! Was pretty fun, but way harder on my rear delts than I recall. Only did about 1mi, 3x500yd @ 8:00 interval, averaged about 1:20/100yd. Gonna swim again tmw
>>
>>77548100
Looks beautiful there, why not?

Swimming is best cardio and swimming buttetfly is the end goal.
As someone who lifts and swims it's always fun the DYEL swimming team.
>>
The only lane pool near me is also a hotspring and theres always brown niggers in the pool, fully grown men wearing life jackets clogging up the lanes. have to go earlty moring before the niggers wake up
>>
>>77546002
Ive been going three days a week. Really enjoy it but its really tiring as well.
>>
BUMP

Why is swimming so fucking expensive
>>
>>77552960
Keep the proles out, of course
>>
>>77552960
lake is free and annual pool pass for me is $250
get your money up
>>
>>77546002
It is the best form of fitness but pools are so disgusting. Swimming in the sea is legit i guess but risky
>>
>>77553157
My pool is essentially empty of lane swimmers, so ti not that bad. The children are kept to their own shallow piss pool, and the thirdies are kept to their hot tub piss pools. I have never seen a brown skin swim lengths lol
>>
>>77553157
>risky
What exactly are you worried about?

Swimming is great. Finding a quiet place to swim with free lanes is a challenge, but like the others said you can slip into a really relaxing state while working out.
