I can 3D print with 100% infill a 8β cylinder with 1.0625β hole and 9/16β thick and make my own 1.25 pound plate. Itβll probably take all night to print one. Is this stupid?
>>77554937Why would you do that
>>77554937Why not just buy one? 3d printer owners always doing the most for so little
>>77554972Metal 1.25 plates are stupid expensive
>>77554937Post body w/timestamp. The implication with using such a low bump in weight is that you're so fucking advanced that you're scraping the absolute natty limits and need such small increments to break a plateau. I seriously doubt you're so fucking jacked you need 1.25lbs plates. You're either larping or you're a retard that needs to just up his reps for a bit then make the regular 5-10lbs step up.
>>77554975>can afford 3d printer>cant afford 1.25 lbs platesWhat in tardation? Rogue sells a pair of'em for 15$.>>77554985This
>>775549851.25 pound plates make sense for dumbbells since on each end and two on each dumbbell results in the same 5 pound increase a barbell makes with 2.5 on either end.
Wouldn't 2.5 lbs of filament just cost the same as metal plates by the end once you factor in electricity. If a print fails you're even more fucked
>>77554937Yeah it's fucking stupid, you should print a shell and fill it with concrete or plaster.>>77554975You can find them for cheap if you look. I bought 6x1.25 cast iron plates off amazon for like $20. Check the CAP barbell store on amazon, they're on sale right now.
>>77554937Fuck with your volume, don't pull this retarded shit
>>77554937Very. Nothing you can do in the gym requires a 1.25lb plate. Just use 2.5lbs.
>>775549373D print a mold, cast the plate from concrete.
