Did I fuck up by buying this case? I've owned it for a few years and its such a pain in the ass whenever I have to move it since its 13"x13"x16"

there’s no way people are already nostalgic for touch screen phones.

Getting programming jobs by June will be incredibly difficult. All the entry-level and intermediate jobs will be accomplished via a $1000/month subscription to claude code. Every subscription will replace 10 full-time jobs.
Many companies will go under. There will be no jobs. Only FAGMAN will be "safe". Most FAGMAN employees will either quit voluntarily or fight dirty to not get fired.
Programming Jobs and Software jobs are KAPUT in six months. You have been warned.
>>
You're telling me now, after all this time, that there was a way for a video to change its size during playback, and not a single platform uses this to accomodate phone videos which are rotated partway into the video?
Son of a bitch.

Gemini is occasionally funny in its thinking. Don't remember one of the rps exactly, but I remember midway through its thought process it started rambling about how the situation was so depressing that it considered altering the plot before reminding itself of the rules

linux is too slow for that to happen
>>
>>107743233
>it gives the best out of box desktop experience
Every OpenBSD fag who shits out this statement does actually not use the out of box desktop FVWM from 1995.
However, I could use NetBSD without any problems, without needing to change the desktop environment.
>>
>>107743233
So NetBSD is dead but hardenedBSD isn't?
>>
>>107743254
we need some real benchmarks to say this. I remember Linux being faster than FreeBSD. I don't think FreeBSD has been faster than Linux for quite some time. All the new development and research goes into Linux, which makes it automatically the most optimized because you know... it gets used in the real world.

I remember that Netflix patched FreeBSD kernel to move networking shit that is relevant to their use case directly into the kernel. I think it was called ktls for kernel tls offloading. maybe that was more economically or technically feasable to do in FreeBSD rather than Linux. So it doesn't automatically mean FreeBSD is faster than Linux at networking operations.

You can naively think that something that has less and cleaner code must necessarily be faster but that's not the case. Musl libc is slower than Glibc for example.

>>107743275
yes I didn't like the default settings and look of FVWM (and it was the maintainance version I think) but I can guess why they still stick with it. I switched over to dwm immediately as usual.

>>107743303
HardenedBSD is FreeBSD so it gets all the development. Actually I wouldn't use HardenedBSD either.

if you're still getting microstutters with profile=fast hwdec=no buy a better GPU that doesn't have horridly broken drivers. Alternatively if you're on Linux maybe try Zen/Cachy kernels.
>>
>>107743382
These are your options:
>video-sync=audio with VRR
>display-* with hacks like https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/11122#issuecomment-2041618717
>switch to madVR
>>
>>107743444
I am on Windows with an NVIDIA GPU.
I use shaders, but with "video-sync=audio" the GPU usage is only around 20-30 percent. With any of the "display-*" options, GPU usage is much higher and I get dropped frames.

>>107743487
Apparently, VRR does not work with "hwdec=d3d11va", and the hack does not fix the microstutters.

Is there a way to use something like "video-sync=desync" and automatically offset the audio to compensate for the desynchronization?

that's not even close
If you want to try reencoding go with SVT-AV1 with variance boost enabled, enable-tf disabled and add some grain if you like that (without the denoiser); CRF in the mid 20s and go as slow as you find reasonable (preset 3 and 4 are nice speed/density wise on my hardware at least). Add tile-columns 1 fast-decode 1 to make it potato playback friendly. Audio depends on how many channels, opus 256k is a safe bet. Use a couple lossless clips of busy/dark scenes as test samples.
