This is not a drill, it's finally confirmed that China has a working EUV prototype since early 2025, it's just undergoing testing and verification right now, expected to enter large scale production by 2028-2030. >In a high-security Shenzhen laboratory, Chinese scientists have built what Washington has spent years trying to prevent: a prototype of a machine capable of producing the cutting-edge semiconductor chips that power artificial intelligence, smartphones and weapons central to Western military dominance, Reuters has learned. Completed in early 2025 and now undergoing testing, the prototype fills nearly an entire factory floor.>The availability of parts from older ASML machines on secondary markets has allowed China to build a domestic prototype, with the government setting a goal of producing working chips on the prototype by 2028, according to the two people. But those close to the project say a more realistic target is 2030, which is still years earlier than the decade that analysts believed it would take China to match the West on chips.>The breakthrough marks the culmination of a six-year government initiative to achieve semiconductor self-sufficiency, one of President Xi Jinping's highest priorities. While China's semiconductor goals have been public, the Shenzhen EUV project has been conducted in secret, according to the people.https://www.reuters.com/world/china/how-china-built-its-manhattan-project-rival-west-ai-chips-2025-12-17/

I'm a digital hoarder. My bookmarks span into the tens of thousands even though I rarely bookmark individual pages (as opposed to just the main page). I want to better organize this stuff, but all the bookmark organizing software I've looked at seems bloated and overengineered as fuck, and that's before AI getting added into everything. Do I really need to self-host this stuff? Can't it just work as an extension or regular offline program? Does anyone have any experience with any of this software?

Why do American plugs look so surprised, Israeli plugs so angry, and Denmarkian/Greenlandish plugs so happy?
Because when someone said let's make an outlet instead of using light bulb sockets they used two small blade of metal to stick in the wall. Then they made one slightly bigger so you couldn't plug something in backwards. And then they put in a ground hole
>>107582415>maintainablenah, most plugs are just single molded pieces of plastic. My mom sends me kitchen appliances from the UK regularly, I have to keep replacing the plugs on them with 7/7s, except most of the time I can't because they are molded. I have to cut off the cable.

>>107583001Im also an artixfag. I installed the openrc xfce iso and been liking it so far. Im a linux noob(2 months now) so i cant really go into detail about why its so great. The only thing ive done with openrc was setup 2 different user runlevels for 2 separate xsessions(one for my xfce DE and another for an openbox session) it was a breeze and felt more simpler to setup as opposed to the systemd distro i was using before artix. Why do "people" love kde so much? I just got into linux recently and xfce is solid. Works on fuckin everything, debian, fedora, arch... it all just works. I only tried kde once and while i didnt have any issues it just felt so bloated, i felt like such a fat faggot basedslurping nu-male just looking at it. I couldnt have logged out quicker. And if i didnt have xfce guess id opt for lxde or lxqt then before i use kde.Noh*mo, but even gnome was better imo. Only issue with gnome is that im not a toddler so it wasnt very fitting for me

Guys I have a major interview tomorrow, I'm already deep into the recruitment process and the manager just want me to have a chat with his sysdev team.2 devs, both of them are Indian. Now, this freaked me out a bit because I'm used to dealing with Indian coworkers, but I was never interviewed by one before.I have no idea of what should I say or do differently. Any tips? I'm mostly worried that their English is terrible and I'll say or do something wrong because I can't understand them.Or, they will tell the company I suck just so they can hire another Indian.Oh well. At least the manager really liked me. Let's see how it goes.
