How many bits do you need to represent the maximum double as an int? Something like 1024. Then double that to represent the decimal portion.

When you deal with financial data for example it makes far more sense to use rational numbers or just integers of cents or tenths of cents.

it's just integer operations, which the compiler can use simd for. though in general, you have to compute the gcd of nominator ^ denominator and divide them by it if you want to prevent overflows, which can be an expensive operation.

The biggest issue of rationals is that you have to enforce the representation yourself. For instance 1 = 10/10 = 147/147 and so on, therefore unless you always simplify by the gcd some maths become more difficult.

one solution is to used a fixed denominators, so called 'fixed precision', but they loose the flexibility of rationals

I've been using fedora for about a year on my main laptop and im thinking of going back. My previous laptop has been on the same arch install from more than 10y ago. It doesn't. Fedora Rawhide does, and the beta repos do, but the standard configuration only has stable releases.

Maintainers don't fuck up packages by patching them and don't wait several years to update them. This is how software updates work on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS as well. You might find Fedora or Fedora with Testing repos to be a happy medium. But as a Windows user Arch is the only Linux distro I can stand.

It's probably a little bit of everything. I have some ebay figmas that are definitely the real thing but must have been seconds because they have painting/printing errors. Those didn't even ship with a box or accessories.
For scale bootlegs trying to look like the real thing I imagine a lot of them are remolds. The details on them often suffer. Don't forget that the figure market itself stems from Garage Kits.

Another thing to note is that prize figures can be cheap enough that they don't even need to sell you the bootleg. They're already Chang tier when you get them in Japan. So it sort of depends on which bootleg you're talking about.

these companies amassed it with corruption, killing and bullying smaller businesses, acquisitions, litigations from patents and so on
the capitalism is supposed to make everyone compete, but these companies fear competition so they kill it with power they've got, because they were early on the market and have money to bully smaller companies with law that favors the one with bigger pockets
their products aren't superior, they just bully everyone and prevent them from entering the market or acquire ones that succeded despite the odds to later kill their products (e.g. Google, Adobe)

Someone needs to figure out how to make quantum internet work then everyone can play on something like the GeForce Now cloud gaming service. Everyone would instantly have access to a top-of-the-line GPU and more RAM.
There would be no lag with quantum internet.

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine.
1) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice on bare metal and run your previous OS in a Virtual Machine.
2) Use a live image and to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

how can i set tearfree "on" permanently?

TearFree goes back to "auto" after i log out of my session. im using this command to enable it, it goes from "auto" to "on" and works perfectly with my amdgpu:
>xrandr --output <my-display> --set TearFree on
but it turns off after i log out.

no, its xfce with their compositor turned off. their compositor acts strange so i turned off and got the tearing disease but now i can see the light
