Why did (you) greentext half your post?

I used to be one but now basically every single "normal" modern webpage is broken on it and I'm not saying "looking slightly off" I mean literally unusable as in DOES NOT FUCKING WORK.
Even this site stopped working for a moment when Clownflare decided to Palememe.

Moonchild isn't so bad but Tooooobeaner is a major cunt and very fragile too. Loses his shit and can't handle criticism or his inflated ego gets super butthurt.

Anyone who uses this browser in 2026 deserves to get owned. You've been warned.
>>
Sad to say that it is still better than all of the other browsers out there that have bought into Chrome's philosophy. Needs more developers working on web compatibility and a larger extensions ecosystem.

anon it takes several years to build a fab. by that time the bubble may have burst and you're out of money and now no one wants to buy your product. there is one company taking that risk at the moment, and they're chinese, building ram for the chinese enterprise market.

because even if you're build new ram fabs, why would you sell it to broke-assed consumers and not enterprise that buys it up in hundred million to billion dollar lots.

There are more Chinese then all westerners combined. If you took just US research alone by numbers chinks should be innovating 4x+ faster. Also westerners are older, chinks are about decade away from their own much worse population decline because they developed later. And finally US society rewards jewish money tricks over producing products, which results in business being number 1 most popular major as opposed to engineering like in China, so the percentage of Chinese in AI research is higher.

Are you the one that made fzf previee wrapper? I tried running it but got an error
env: ‘bash\r’: No such file or directory
env: use -[v]S to pass options in shebang lines
>>
>>107734313
Change the shebang to /usr/bin/env bash.
If env continues to fail, change it to point directly to your bash executable, wherever it apparently is.
>>
>>107734313
Yes. extract, archive, fzf_preview_wrapper, the fzf.zsh config file, the ffmpeg double-pass webm command, the nvimpager wrapper, the bm widget (placed at the end of your zshrc, the function and the 'zle -N bm-widget' line should come before zle-line-init and zle-keymap-select [you can set the keybind for bm-widget earlier in the file]), and it's accompanying 'ba' function. The fzf.zsh file requires autocd (only a hard requirement for fff and ffd to change to a selected directory, and also, therefore, for fm and fmf to successfully change directories), interactivecomments (for the bm widget), and, optionally, autopushd, as a drastic qol improvement.

notice how it's only balding redditors that were stuck with dogshit ps1/ps2 uncslop as kids constantly seething about muh "new mechanics"
it's the exact type of a moron that would say, with an absurg amount of arrogance, that a 20 year old xbox360 or an almost 20 year old ps3 are some how not """""""""""""""retro"""""""""""""""
this is literally it folks, no need to reinvent the wheel, you already have the new thing which is VR, gameplay peaked during 7th gen, this is literally the ceiling for the medium as of right, yet instead of purchasing a VR helmet faggots like this keep looking new muh mechanics
what for? does this person even play video games? I highly doubt that

There are a few good posters on HN that I check in on for good comments on a weekly basis. Many people just get burnt out or banned after awhile though. They then get replaced with a lower quality poster. Its getting harder and harder to find good content and commentary online. I suspect there is still about the same amount or more good comments, just even more noise to filter through.
>>
>>107730959
HN definitely serves to promote YC, but if its goal is to protect them or their investments from bad press then they do a terrible job of it.

YC companies get flamed all the time on there.

why do gamedevs insist on using xinput when it's limited only to xbox-style gamepads? while directinput seems to support what frankenstein gamepad you throw at and will just detect any button as JOY1 JOY2 JOY3...JOY20..etc
directinput seems like it is far more flexible.
also according to wikipedia both are microsoft APIs, so what is the GNU/Linux equivalent?

>>
>>107734091
>why do gamedevs insist on standardizing
to standardize
>>
>>107734855
but it seems like a shit standard.
half the fun in games is controls, and this xinput faggotry forces controller designers to only design xbox-style gamepads, whose to say there isn't a better design? say with a trackball instead of the right analog stick?
>>
>>107734364
>only in recent years did directinput start making a comeback with people using playstation and other style controllers...
Only because it became easier to wrap those inputs through to xinput, given most modern games don't support DirectInput that aren't sim titles.
>>
>>107734941
If someone wants to design a gimmick pad they're free to use dinput, and then you can remap that to xinput through software however you want. Most games with regular controller support wouldn't support the gimmick anyway, because they're made to be playable on consoles.
I don't know what the fuck you think would change if controllers only on pc could have extra unique inputs. I mean they already can, and some do, but unless a game dev actually decides to give a shit it changes nothing. Best you can find is some niche (usually rhythm) games designed for a very specific type of controller with technically playable but less than ideal regular controller/mkb support.
