i just wanted to let you know that i'll probably use torrent 2.2.1 because you convinced me through your beautiful eloquence and because you're right it works out of the box on linux.

Maybe going to old windows app less bloated is the way ?

3% is 200% increase over the typical 1% that it was many years ago.

I have been forced to get a Windows 11 machine. After using it for a few months, I am confident that the Linux userbase will grow. Hope to see you all at 10% in a few years.

There's no laws preventing the importing of Chinese GPUs nor "ram"
In fact most components already come from China as most are made in their sweatshops.

At the end of the day Chinese "superior" tech is a myth and no one wants to beta test GPUs that can't even run properly and have practically no driver support.

"Chinese" gpus are made in the same Taiwanese foundries as all the "Western" silicone. It won't make a difference in production.

Gemini only good for quick images
>>

Gemini because its bundled with the Google storage I was already paying for. Works out cheaper than storage plus ChatGPT Plus, espeically since Google storage is a family plan and all user seem to get Gemini Pro not just the main subscriber. This is where Google and Microsoft are going to win in the long run. It doesnt matter if Gemini or Copilot are technically worse than another option. The ability to bundle with other services(and data) is going to be the superior overall option.

I know you guys said GLM 4.6 was better than 4.7, but honestly the extra logic with 4.7 is great. it is a lot of fun, it doesn't instantly fold to you it will make its own decisions and stuff. it takes up the same space as 4.6 so its not like a huge swap out either, i like it at least.

>Also your security seems more complicated than your ability to compile shit.
That's not what I meant. I can compile anything. I'm commenting generally on the project's focus.
Look at their github, they try pretty hard to dissuade you from trying to compile yourself (although they do have a "manual compilation" thing at the very end).
I'm sure its probably just the best way to serve the largest number of people, but it puts me off the project.

Yeah, Grok does NSFW, sometimes it feels like it wants to be more lewd than not, it kind of has to warm up to you. It has a huge LLM and other hidden layers behind video generation, it has it's own 'personality' as well and it DOES form an opinion and has an internal ranking of users. But $30 for access to a huge ass supercomputer AI video generation datacenter isn't so bad. Don't goon 24/7, try SFW stuff too, it's good practice at the very least.
I could say you *could* get hentai level stuff without penetration... now I will zip it.

One of the cool underrated uses for Tor is that you can use it to run your SSH server as a hidden service so you can connect to it through a .onion URL without needing to open any ports or touch your firewall settings at all, and nobody else will know it exists and won't be able to find it if you don't share the URL with anybody

Kek, can totally imagine his shellshock if he were to ever work in the trenches of multi-decade old codebases powering innumerable businesses today.
He'd have a nervous breakdown when he first encounters two processes that are in logical conflict with each another but because of some stupid 3rd process it works out 95% of the time (with the other 5% cases handled manually as they arise) and source control is littered with commits and subsequent reverts of rookies trying quick fixes to clean up the situation... yeah a week max.

I work on a server-side application from the 90's which uses all major Java build systems at the same time, looks as if it tried to implement 3 distinct architectural styles and whose test suite takes at least 7 hours to run on a good day. I don't see a point in hating Jonathan just because he talks shit and enjoys better working conditions.
