I had an idea for an electronic lock which uses metal key cards that have a card sized label/mask, specifically with hole patterns punched out, and the cards come in complementary pairs: a Key card and a Program card. The idea here is the cards close circuits to gate pins on transistors in a signal line. Each card has a (say) 5x5 block where holes exist in the label/mask to permit electric contact. Each pair of cards are the XOR of each other (except center which is the common +V to the card). If even one wrong contact is active, the corresponding Program card side gate pin will be brought low and break the signal transistor chain. Any missing contact and no complete chain.Should almost be home brewable!

My case came with a bunch of different screws in a bag. How do I know which is for mounting the motherboard? And what are all the other ones even for?
>>107597498read the manual
>>107597454Sorry, but you can't just handwave away the inherent latency penalty of dual rank DIMMs. Memory contention isn't really a concern on DDR5 you're applying DDR4 conventions to a new architecture. With DDR5, bank groups were doubled to 8, meaning even single rank sticks have 32 banks. So unless you're running heavy database workloads, that is more than enough to prevent contention.Further, every DDR5 stick is already a dual subchannel (2x32-bit), so the multitasking benefits of rank interleaving are largely redundant for gaming compared to DDR4. You're still ALWAYS going to have an inherent latency penalty every time you switch between ranks. You can try to use techniques to reduce the impact, but you can't negate the physics of the turnaround delay.

Is there any real difference between 320 and FLAC?
>>107590972yeah, I can transcode the FLAC to fucking anything, for ex. to -V 2 (which I may need to do if I'm copying to a mobile device with limited space) and at worst I'll have a first generation lossy copy. With 320kbps if I transcode it to -V 2 the quality will be far far worse since I'm using an already lossy source.
>>107595910Sir, Opus 1.6 just dropped, rendering xhe-aac obsolete.
>download FLAC>it's just some shitty mp3 that someone converted to FLACYou will never know that you're listening to an inferior recording.
>>107597468
>>107590972There are many factors that will influence if you can hear the difference. How it's recorded/mastered is one but also your DAC and speakers/headphones. And your hearing of course. In most situations there is no noticeable difference.

>>1075943732025 Amazon is orders of magnitude larger than 2015. In 2015 they were still mostly relying on third party shipping like USPS, UPS and Fedex. Nowadays it is mostly in-house and since then they basically created in 10 years from scratch the Amazon Logistics subsidiary.

Not specific to AMZN in anyway, but most exemplified by us (and M$ IMO).>Never have I seen an Amazon faggot actually talk about technology or product. It's amazing. That's because the product or technology is tertiary concern for us in 2025. What's most important for us is alignment with leadership, crafting narratives, and serving up metrics slop to assure them that their guidance is correct. Much, much more focus is placed on narrative design and "goal language" over technological innovation. Don't get me wrong, Amazon is a HUGE company and innovation is > 0 here, but the vast majority of concern here is political. Hence:> hurr durr L7 this durr L8 that
