I have a router with stable 300mbps symmetric fiber connected to fiber.

I have a gayming setup which I can't feasibly run ethernet to, but has decent wlan signal to. I'm getting mostly 300mbs but some dips to 250 and that also throws latency off whack in games.

Can I run QoS locally on the computer to smooth out those spikes?
>>
>>107647297

are you even allowed to photocopy your work documents, or fax them, or scan and process
>>
>>107649348
Unlikely.
QoS can't fix interference from your neighbors' microwave ovens or their WiFi routers.
Don't expect consistency in radio transmission, it doesn't exist.

the most wonderful thing i've seen a UI designer ever do was in the testing notes for Windows 95. they noted that in testing, users liked to drop file icons onto the folder icon (rather than opening the folder and dropping the file into the folder window as the devs intended.)
this wasn't a function in windows 95 at the time, but it was something users intuited must be possible because of how the UI generally worked.

instead of going "PEBKAC" and trying to discourage the behavior, or asking how they could make it clear this wasn't possible, or asking "what is the use case for not opening the folder first?", or insisting their testers sat down and RTFM, or any of the other nonsense that you'd expect from contemporary designers who hate their users and assume they're idiots, the suggested fix was: allow users to drop files into folders via the folder icon.

The NASA web site:

https://images.nasa.gov/search?q=moon&page=1&media=image&yearStart=1920&yearEnd=2025

I was just thinking about MOON, and looking through them, and the one CAPTIVated me because one of the PLAYS in my /LIT/ has Mississippi River elements in it that tie into general river elements going back to the beginning of "time" and all tying into the evolution of consciousness/cognition, and all tying into language, words, /LIT/, etc. so I thoughted OK, DESKTOPAPE, rite there.

But the MOON is deebly literally UNIVERSAL to us all. Every human (+ moar, like WHALES + so much moar) eye that has ever existed has gazed upon it and had its connected PSYCHE altered in essentially infinite ways.

Qt is the least "evil" of the three options, abandoning GTK should be top priority.

It's very similar to a Thinkpad keyboard. Maybe a little clickier but that's the only difference I've noticed. $80 is a bit steep for a keyboard, but I really hate mice, so to me it was worth it.

improved channel separation, wider soundstage, lower noise floor, better instrument separation, cancels out interference and reduces crosstalk

Decet works fine, very bassy, still needs treble reduction, vocals are good, soundstage is above average. Maybe the best basshead IEM, it's not like Luki levels of subbass but it's high quality bass that's boomy and sorta bleeds but not exactly in a bad way
>>
>>107649388
also Decet is massive like Luna and Stellaris, might take more effort getting a proper fit

Trump is a negotiable dealer that is willing to adjust his demands/desires according to shifting circumstances, rather than being a dogmatic zealot that inflexibly approaches politics like religion, which is why you don't understand him

>>

>tariffs change hourly
Yes, the trade deficit the US runs against China has always been the same. The tariffs are lowered, every major company frontload orders enough for 6+ months because they have the storage capacity and warehouses for the goods, and then the tariffs can be 2000%. This only affects small business owners.

Based Walmart/Amazon/etc (Trump's friends) can frontload all they want, and continue to eat up market share, as the economy trickles up.

classic theme on windows 7 is crippled because WDDM removed GDI hardware acceleration. Because hardware acceleration is gone, gdi has to be drawn into system memory, and then copied to video memory, these copies are pretty lazy, so the UI is incredibly laggy, its a terrible user experience.
>>
>>107648871
They should have made classic theme compatible with WDDM/DWM.
>>
>>107649310
What they should have done is left the GDI acceleration functions alone. Removing them was asshole behavior, they were not complicated. And clearly GPU manufacturers had no trouble supporting them since XP drivers continued to exist for like a decade after vista released.

What makes minecraft so flexible in how you can mod the game? The reason it is still holding strong as the highest selling game after 15 years is because of the freedom it offers with modding. You can make an infinite number of new minigames in multiplayer servers. You can make an endless variations of new parkour maps or modpacks that will never feel repetitive.

No game comes close in how much you can change the vanilla version to make new stuff.

What allows minecraft to have this ability?

It got made at a time when user generated content was THE selling point.
Think about LittleBigPlanet or Roblox.
But Minecraft is the only one where you can host it yourself.
The basegame does provide everything necessary for a modified server to do all kinds of cool things. You can join Hypixel with your default unmodded vanilla client.

It will never have any serious competition either. Because in the current year, you cant just let a player do what he wants. Imagine if he would build a swastika!
And self hosted game servers in 2025?
