Why is it getting so hard to find and save images from the internet?

The goal: keep HTML and CSS compact and predictable so any novice could implement a compatible browser from scratch. Instead of adhering to the full official specs, use a purposefully limited subset to avoid the complexity and bloat of modern web standards an easy way to simplify and streamline the web.
completely ignore other "modern" features such as webgl/webassembly etc.

any such project? I'm aware of gemini protocol but this one is too minimal.

I still own woefully out of date apple laptops that are going strong because of the fact the cases are built to last much to apple's chagrin.

When I do stuff like rsyncing my codebase, sometime the build system would sperg out when the timestamp of the of the sources was updated, triggering full rebuilds at every invocation.
Especially for big codebases, I see why you would want to update them all efficiently.
also, I usually set noatime for all my filesystems. I don't know why atime is useful, but I'm sure there's a usecase, so having options to set it only when needed seems useful to me

do people like authenticator apps?

i broke my phone and got locked out of my bank, steam, post office and other things.
everysingle one needed an authenticator or some app i didn't have access to anymore.

i had to take out my sim and plug it into another phone to end up using the sms verification stuff, if i didn't have another phone, i'd be screwed.

do people enjoy this? like are jobs made solely for this so they won't go away?
I'm honestly so lost why things need to be so complex now, where just not having a single device causes so many issues

it'd be good to understand anima while it's still in training, which also allows you to understand comfyui if you're new to it. it's pretty easy to prompt and you're able to produce what you want, but i find myself having a hard time getting it to look good
