cloud gaming will become extremely popular if this rumour end up being true
>>107735563Not happening for AAA because it's cheaper to outsource to Indians and Malaysians to make their games in UE5 than to hire skilled programmers to make and maintain custom purpose-built game engines.

YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND BE HAPPY!
>>107723190No? we had a whole gpu crisis in 2021 - 2022 and google stadia was still aliveguess what people did? This crap is the effect of the cucked ram prices. tell you the truth, new games are not that interesting anyways. i'll wait until this [crisis of the week] passes by

>>107734313Yes. extract, archive, fzf_preview_wrapper, the fzf.zsh config file, the ffmpeg double-pass webm command, the nvimpager wrapper, the bm widget (placed at the end of your zshrc, the function and the 'zle -N bm-widget' line should come before zle-line-init and zle-keymap-select [you can set the keybind for bm-widget earlier in the file]), and it's accompanying 'ba' function. The fzf.zsh file requires autocd (only a hard requirement for fff and ffd to change to a selected directory, and also, therefore, for fm and fmf to successfully change directories), interactivecomments (for the bm widget), and, optionally, autopushd, as a drastic qol improvement.

retard herewhy do gamedevs insist on using xinput when it's limited only to xbox-style gamepads? while directinput seems to support what frankenstein gamepad you throw at and will just detect any button as JOY1 JOY2 JOY3...JOY20..etc directinput seems like it is far more flexible.also according to wikipedia both are microsoft APIs, so what is the GNU/Linux equivalent?
>>107734691sdl supports everything and its crossplatform. it makes using a wii remote easy for instance.
>>107734091>why do gamedevs insist on standardizingto standardize
>>107734855but it seems like a shit standard.half the fun in games is controls, and this xinput faggotry forces controller designers to only design xbox-style gamepads, whose to say there isn't a better design? say with a trackball instead of the right analog stick?
>>107734364>only in recent years did directinput start making a comeback with people using playstation and other style controllers...Only because it became easier to wrap those inputs through to xinput, given most modern games don't support DirectInput that aren't sim titles.
>>107734941If someone wants to design a gimmick pad they're free to use dinput, and then you can remap that to xinput through software however you want. Most games with regular controller support wouldn't support the gimmick anyway, because they're made to be playable on consoles.I don't know what the fuck you think would change if controllers only on pc could have extra unique inputs. I mean they already can, and some do, but unless a game dev actually decides to give a shit it changes nothing. Best you can find is some niche (usually rhythm) games designed for a very specific type of controller with technically playable but less than ideal regular controller/mkb support.
Look at this incredible and useful technology! What are the implications for society?

>>107735935Totally get your situation anon - would recommend something which would I would normally have never given a second glance - but did specifically for this exact same reason - x13 thinkpad gen1 amd. I just bought a 32Gib 512nvme i7-9850H quadro t1000 with a 4k panel for $400 on eBay (and uncle sam fucked me for 40 in taxes and 20 in shipping)--and I am regretting it and wish I bought the cheaper $330 1080p 48gib option but bought this one because I thought that the 4k panel might be good since 1080p is a bit bad for split screen latex but am now regretting it since it will- Drain battery faster (might take up 20% extra)- Be a pain to use because I will be forced to set it to 200% scaling for a good experience with my external 1080p monitors (probably, I have never used 4k but xorg will likely strangle me too)- Cost more- Doesn't have as much ram- At 15.6" and normal sitting, I probably won't ever noticeI don't think it has been shipped yet but also don't want to try to return it since that might make me an asshole...I will have to go check if the seller even accepts returns...I am really crying over this...why is life so hard?

>>107736039>it's a fucking performance cpu with a dedicated gpu what did you expect? good battery life? kekI knew the battery life wouldn't be great but the 30-40 mins of extra life would have been nice. The main reason I got this was because of the keyboard, trackpoint (with its own buttons, unlike newer models), enough ports to do real work without a doc, and because it completely replaces the best that I own.
