I have at least a few thousand photos and take 4K video often, have hundreds of songs, and keep at least a few seasons of TV on my phone and I have never used more than 128GB. You can do accelerated-aging tests, but who knows? You can distribute copies widely (perhaps in PAR2 form for extra safety): at your relatives' homes, in a safe deposit box at a bank, buried in a forest, Tahoe-LAFS, Bittorrent (as if your holiday photos are Wikileaks insurance files, kek), MaidSafe, GNUnet, Filecoin, Sia, Storj, cloud services like Amazon S3 with Cross-Region Replication, etc. That reduces risk but doesn't guarantee anything. >>107648217Depends, with syncthing for example it would detect conflicts between files, save both versions and ask you to resolve them manually. It may concievably cause instability because normally this check is done per-file, rather than per-folder, so you will need to be careful not to take some files from one browser and some from another when resolving. No idea how something like dropbox would handle this.

>>107647365For many reasons yes. It comes with a very easy to use (and effective) firewall, has all unnessecary daemons disabled by default, has pledge and unveil for sandboxing applications, and is constantly being audited for security issues. It also comes with a lot of documentation and homegrown software that is easy to configure. Releases are stable but whenever a new security problem is found all you have to do is run syspatch and then it's taken care of, you don't have to upgrade anything. However if you're running a server that will recieve a lot of traffic FreeBSD may be a better choice, it has jails, ZFS, the fastest network stack of any OS, and a bigger ports tree. A deficiency of OpenBSD is its lack of support for journaling filesystems. You could use FreeBSD as a load balancer and OpenBSD as a backend if you find that you like OpenBSD, maybe by running it in bhyve.

How would i know if CS is a good fit for me? Im pushing 30. My whole life plan back in 2014 was to enlist right after HS, go to some Frontline unit and die. That didnt happen. Just looked and it's actually pretty small. Would be neat to pipe in with another AI and have it 'play' with you.But as usual I see not monetizeable route for this, unless it's good at being finetuned to other games and thus used as AI.
