Threadly reminder that any attack on programming yourself is jeets trying to shill AI slop.Do not redeem the AI.
My boss told me he'll pay for the remainder of my college tuition if I enroll back in.If I go back to college now, I can probably get my PhD at 38.I don't understand why you folks are so anti-college. The reason you got no job, and jeet has a job, is that jeet has a degree.I can view this situation at a good distance. Persona A opens a business. Person A considers hiring Person B, and Person C. Person B has no degree, and needs insurance, and loads of other expenses. Person C has a degree, and needs no expenses because he lives in Nepal or some place like that.Would Person A be insane for choosing Person C over person B?At least, try to get your degree, since a degree, even from a shitty American college, is better than a degree from the best Nepalese college.

Your chances of landing a job are about the same since you arent getting referred

Can Microsoft be redeemed at this point?
>>107756928Redeemed how? In terms of making quality operating systems? No. Redeemed in terms of making a profit? They do that quite fine now. I suspect the only reasons why Microsoft hasn't spun off the OS division is due to optics and because they have contractual obligations with business customers to keep it going.

mpv ffmpeg yt-dlp
the actual issue is that the developers changed the default swapchain-depth from 3 to 2, even though vulkan fifo recommends triple buffering for video contentd3d11 documentation is even more liberal, because it recommends a high MaxFrameLatency value. most windows media players use at least 8 backbuffers because of this
>>107753651this is why we need 240+ Hz monitors just to get a usable experience

Everyone keeps throwing buzzwords I bet they don't even understand around to look oh so smart, yet no one can transcode an mp4 to an APNG without writing the cICP to it using the latest ffmpeg, thus replicating the <6.0 behavior.

>>107749091it's okay if you use it as a json api or you don't use turbo & stimulus.while my work is by using ruby and rails, taking that experience to find new jobs is rather difficult.
Rails is the hidden white man’s stack. There are no shortage of companies that were founded on it 10-20 years ago that pay well to developers who can extend it. While the raw number of jobs can’t match Java, C#, Python, PHP or full stack JS/TS, it has way fewer applicants per role because pajeets never bothered to learn it.

Tried to create a rest api in c# .net 10 and java spring, and java still sucks donkey balls on the verbosity and forcing oop into everything. Only reason faang uses java is that those companies were being created late 2000s, early 2010s when dotnet was still closed source windows only, so that's why they still use java in 2025. Modern java doesn't solve anything besides bringing down AWS faster with code written by javajeets.
