Matching video resolution to output display pixels at 1:1 for best viewing experience is common knowledge.

Sorry you're stuck on a 1600x900 display and think anything higher is some theoretical nonsense with no real-world gains but that isn't how the real world works. 1080p downloads might look better than 720p ones on your screen, but the moment you upgrade to 1080p your 1080p videos will actually look how they're supposed to. I just checked the mailing list and I was correct ports still has an older version from before Rust became a dependency. It's currently working and patched again in -current. It was noticed just after the window closed to make it into release 7.8 so if you're on that it's probably broken.

For Stack Clash, OpenBSD release a fix the 18th of May 2017, a day after the issue was communicated to the distros list. The embargo was supposed to last until May 30, but was moved to June 19, as requested by Red Hat. Check the timeline from Solar Designer for more details. OpenBSD also handled KrackAttack in a surprising way in 2017. Stefan Sperling, an OpenBSD developer, explained in November 2017 what happened on their side:

Hey guys I'm in a bit of a pickle and looking for some advice.

For at least a decade Honeyview has been my goto for images, until just recently when I started saving images in HEIC format. I did all the research, ran my own comparisons from shooting in RAW and checking JPEG vs HEIC and it's true, it just is the superior evolution of the lossy compression format.

So honeyview has apparently turned into paid scamware if you want HEIC support and there's allegedly privacy concerns and whatnot. I saw there's qView but my muscle memory is so ingrained with honeyview I honestly hate how little QOL features it has and lack of shortcuts.

Is there a true FOSS successor to honeyview? Should I just suck it up and learn qView?

Just tried Hyperdroid on my phone. Whoa, the maker really went all the way in making it work just like using Windows 11. They even went too far with Windows11 sounds and a file explorer like Windows Explorer. They even copied Settings amd the Taskbar. App drawer with search is the Windows button with Windows logo, omg. After spending time with DeX on my Samsung tablet, I don't want to go back to the regular Android launchers. My faves are the LG and Microsoft launchers until now, but DeX and Hyperdroid are next level and my new faves now. Hyperdroid forces landscape, though, won't work in portrait like DeX and and any other Android launcher.
