>Use KDE gayland, everything is slow, low fps, input lag, weird frame pacing that doesnt feel smooth even with a smooth frametime graph in games

>Use X11 with Xmonad Tiling window manager, It just werks, everything werks, no latency or input lag
>High FPS, gaming just werks and I get 20fps+ more than gayland for some reason and its buttery smooth
>Fast with zero bloat, Configure everything to my liking

At this point, I wont even use any desktop environment on linux if it isn't X11. Even XFCE is dead to me because it has wayland support. I will never support anything wayland based on linux.
I'm X11 pilled.

If, by your own admission, you have no idea about Hyprland's current codebase and no idea about its history, why are you opining on the subject of its code quality? Are you genuinely retarded? This is basic stuff, you don't have to be particularly good at programming to notice these problems.
>>
>>107708922
to fix wayland input latency:

/etc/environment
 KWIN_DRM_DISABLE_TRIPLE_BUFFERING=1
>>
>>107723859
different anon, and for those 3 claims I commented on I don't need to know the codebase.
>>
>>107723093
> they are participating
More like being forced, kicking and screaming.
>>
>>107723975
You don't think you need to see the codebase to know about architectural changes? Really?
Anyway, why are you so butthurt about me noticing the obvious fact that Hyprland code is poor quality that you're trying desperately to defend it, despite not having the knowledge to discuss the topic intelligently? It's fine anon, I'm not going make you stop using it, lots of software is useful despite having poor quality code. I just don't think it's the best compositor/WM. Sway for example provides a decent amount of features without being developed cowboy programming style.

>AMD is vice versa
No, with AM5 they are horrible on load power usage too. I had to bump up my 8600G to something like 160W just so the iGPU would never throttle. The 5600G did that out of 65W. And that's just an APU, with the chiplet based CPUs it's so much fucking worse because the interconnects suck up so much power. They need like 20W just to idle.

Zen 6 will change all of that since they are finally going to start using better interconnects. But that's still 2 years away.

Dunno about you but on benchmarks where high-end Intel and AMD get same performance, the Intel chips always draw at least 50W more.

The moment I hear about a show I want to attend, I go straight to the box office and buy a ticket from the teller, at face value. No extra "fees," no "delivery charge," no bullshit.
>>
The IMAX in Melbourne charges a service fee per ticket you buy online. It was going to cost me $8 for 4 tickets so I marched myself down there and bought the tickets in person.
Same thing with a lot of businesses charging fees for using cards, I just pay in cash. Probably costs them more money to process all the cash.

saying "the n-word" is the same as saying nigger, because you say "n-word" with the expectation that the listener knows that you mean nigger. you say n-word and they think "nigger". that's just how words work

when do you think it will be socially acceptable and safe for NPCs to finally accept AI? what would need to happen for them to suddenly do a 180?

OP, you and everybody who shills for it endlessly need to understand WHY people take issue with it. Do you understand why they take issue with it? Or are you the same as Jeets I speak with on here who fail to see why people dislike Jeets?
>>
>>107720482
I use it all the time to speed up my workflow on basically. It just sounds like you don't do anything that complex. AI has basically increased my ability to learn new things tenfold.
>>
Why should people accept a tool that's being pushed for the main reason of making them obsolete? Seems pretty rational to be upset over it. Especially since most people's exposure to it has mainly been a flood of lazily made slop content.
>>
>>107718779
When AI starts replacing the manual labor and undesirable jobs like desk work, instead of replacing the "creative" hobby ones like music/art/video creation
All movies and media portray AI as a thing that lets you slack off with more free time for your hobbies while it does the tedious work.

Meanwhile in reality it's currently the opposite now, it gets to slack off making pictures and music while you have to workshop sweat still.
It doesn't benefit the average NPC in the slightest. Even game companies using AI are still charging the same price so it's not even a benefit to the regular person them cutting costs using AI to make music/VA/assets for the game.
>>
>>107718779
I dislike AI (corpo AI that is) for the same reason I dislike Jeets. It's a tool for the elite to further clamp down on us peasants, and make us accept less and less while they get more and more.

What does /g/ think of Jai? Do you think it will see any use outside of Jon Blow's new game?
2 replies omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>107723933
I don't know. That's why I'm asking. But based on Jon Blow's interviews, he made it because he had issues with C++'s compile times, among other things, so he made his own language. If his game dev streams are anything to go buy, Jai does indeed compile fast.
