I wasn't responding to them I was responding to you.
The G550 mouswheel is the best on the market.
For every application... ironically you go on to yammer about gaming.

The freewheel switch toggle is tits. The weighted wheel makes the infinity spin go on and on compared to other versions and the incremental spin is crisp. The wheel size and height above the buttons makes it more tactile.

The tilt actuation is what puts it over the top. There are only two mice on the market that have tilt-option buttons. It was originally offered on the G500 but that line has been discontinued.

The only thing that image tells me is that you're either insincere, retarded: or both.

i have this mouse. previously i used the logitech vertical one that looks kinda phalic

i don't trust the durability of logitech's products. this is because i believe my previous kb (logitech) had programmed obsolescence, and this mouse now has the left click fucked after a year of use (though it might be because i dropped it)

except that and some temporary issues with connectivity, i don't have any other complains about it. the trackball is comfy and i don't need to move my hand at all to use my pc

My bad, the G502 Hero.

The only other mouse on the maket with tilt action buttons on the mouswheel is made by razor.

Firefox planning to drop 32-bit support. This is huge, considering that Firefox supported non SSE3 systems for a very long time and that many cheap netbooks from around 2008-2012 were 32-bit only. Compare this with the fact that Mozilla recently extended Windows 7 to 2026, and we find that Mozilla finds it difficult to actually drop support due to the "long tail" effect of many legacy users. It still has a minority of Firefox 78 users on old macs for example.

https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2025/09/05/firefox-32-bit-linux-support-to-end-in-2026/

It looks like 32-bit computers may be locked out of much of the internet by late 2026, as outdated browsers usually fail captchas.

>This is huge,

You can easily remote into a 64-bit machine thus offloading the heavy lifting. You can also do that with 16-bit DOS.

Of course OP was shitposting since anyone serious knew this decades ago.
>>
>>106499895
okay but what exactly is the issue with having several builds for different platforms? "dropping support" just means saving money on compile time compute? the extra storage size is insignificant, and bandwidth is unchanged
sounds like a made up problem

What do you guys recommend?
I want over 500mbs wifi, privacy, ability to easily fake location to sites, apps, blocking ads without letting sites know you use an adblocker, possibility to change ip. I do have nordvpn for now but I turn it on rarely. My isp uses pppoe.

Maybe these are some good candidates:
GL.iNet GL-MT6000
ASUS TUF Gaming AX6000
Xiaomi Mi Router AX3000T

Currently using Dlink DIR-842 Rev C1.
On stock I get 466mbs on wifi.
Installed Openwrt but managed to get only 300mbs after hours of tinkering and consulting claude and chatgpt

Why do modern operating systems require a SSD to function? How did Windows 95, XP, 7 & 8 run butter smooth even on 5400rpm spinning hard disks? I want to use a spinning disk as my boot drive, but can't anymore due to OSes feeling sluggish on it.

they did, as especially on Win98, and maybe XP. When I've upgraded from XP to 7 from singlecore + old ass drive to dualcore and 1tb wd green 5400rpm... it was horrible, laggy mess. In a few years I gave up on this torture on bough SSD, it was godsend.

Install PuppyOS if you've only got old HHD's to work with otherwise just pucker up $30 something dollars for a 128gb SATA SSD to boot off of and use the other one for storing the larger files like games an what not.

They didn't. The amount of data being moved around on a modern SSD for typical tasks would lock up an old hard drive. Backing up my 500mb windows 95 pc took like six hours

If you get no utility from home server stuff, I think you should just stop. In my opinion it's stupid to have home servers as just a hobby or something you build an identity around. It should serve a function.
Maybe that function isn't a great payoff of time to reward, and that's where having fun and a hobby element can come in and be OK, but for you it sounds like:
>You don't like it
>You don't need
So why on earth are you trying to do it?

You're not Sisyphus. You just don't know who you are so you mess around with computers all day for no reason so you don't have to think about that.
Going back to the art comparison, if pointless home servers are art, they would be pallid art that requires some explanatory plaque to "interpret" them. They have no intrinsic value.
