They didn't maintain yast for YEARS and instead of fixing it they are hawking it to copilot for administration and myrlin for package management. As you can guess it's very janky and fucking shitty experience and the package install process is very slow. Removing yast and them seething whenever someone ask why is one of the many reasons why I moved to fedora

>Y2k-futurism. Shit was shiny, metallic, translucent, almost alien-like sometimes. The most optimistic and embracing era towards technology.
This is what I miss the most about modern technology.
I miss how around the late 90s and the year 2000, the optimism about the next millennium was amazing. You really got the feeling we were going to bring the world together for the best, and things were all going to work out.
This feeling is almost impossible to believe for me and I lived through the Y2K era, planting trees and burying time capsules for the people of the future. The past must be a foreign country completely to zoomers, and the world of kids today is nothing but a hateful meat grinder.

And when you see the 1960s version of the HQ that's got space-age aesthetics, it feels appropriate because both eras were tapping into that future-facing alien feel.

Do retards not know jammers are illegal.

I wanna build a board like 4chan but for Christian discussions only. If I am just to get started I will probably deploy web front end on a free platform and the servers at home for now. Ill probably just build a new desktop and install Debian on it so it will run a few docker instances of a database and maybe Java or NodeJS backend to generate ids, confirm upload file formatting, generate captchas. I know how most of full stack works but dont have much experience with running multiple servers at once for the same front end.

Is it a common practice to run load balancer on multiple docker instances on the same machine with a powerful processor? Should I invest in AWS or buy a small server rack instead?
>>
>>106536784
>Should I invest in AWS or buy a small server rack instead?
let's be real, you could run this off an old smart phone and it would never reach capacity
>>
>>106536832
I mean I hope so because then thats less work for me to moderate it but out of curiosity how much power can I give the servers and spend very little on it?

It seems like every "new" product or service coming out is the kind of thing schizos would have ranted about on the street while neurotypicals would dismiss them with a "Yeah, that'd never happen" but now they're here and people apparently want to pay money to have the part of bone removed?

I'm mostly a Schemefag. I recently started playing around with Artanis
https://artanis.dev/
>>
>>106536497
> Features
> GPLv3+ & LGPLv3+
> Very lightweight - easy to hack and learn for newbies.
> Support JSON/CSV/XML/SXML.
> Support for WebSockets.
> Good i18n support.
> A complete web-server implementation, including an error page handler.
> High concurrent async non-blocking server core based on delimited continuations.
> Supported databases (through guile-dbi): MySQL/SQLite/PostgreSQL.
> Nice and easy web cache control.
> Efficient HTML template parsing.
> Efficient static file downloading/uploading
Sounds pretty cool
>>
>>106536497
>>106536737
