And how do you print a document, it's file > print, correct?

No? Wait, the entire menu at the top of the screen has been removed? Ctrl-p to print?

And then you realize that everything is really /x/. They got rid of the menu at the top of the screen, and they listened to all of the IT phone calls this resulted in, and the elites did all kinds of gambling about these IT phone calls. That's what actually happened.

Windows 11 is like they sat around a table, discussed every single thing that made Windows 7 good, and decided to remove those features. Why? In doing so, it gave them something to gamble about.

The war in Ukraine? Gambling. Gaza? Gambling. Mass shootings? Gambling. Healthcare? Gambling. Shitty software? Gambling.

etc etc etc
There are no guardian angels, there are just people that gambled that you would act ethically.

> The API accepts any rating string without validation
This was intentional on my end, but still good to warn on it.

> The UI can get stuck because CloseMediaWindow is blocked
This seems to be a hallucination, because I tested this heavily on 3 platforms.

> The ratings dictionary is written under a lock but read without a lock
Accurate. It's only read once at startup, but still a good warning.

The React Compiler is a new thing which can automatically provide optimisations for your React code - optimisations which otherwise might require hooks

>>107633548
I just went to the React docs for `memo` and it recommended using the React Compiler. I didn't see anything suggesting the Compiler is experimental. The compiler NPM package is version 1.0.0 so presumably they think it's production ready?

If I run into problems I guess I'll get rid of the Compiler and just use `memo` as before

>How do I activate Windows?

Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.

I recently got a gaming latop that came with windows 11, and am thinking about downgrading to 10 using a boot I got from here a while ago. If it asks for a license is it better to use one that I got from the laptop or to use the script in this thread?

I did all the typical stuff to get rid of copilot other debloat stuff by looking through the settings and shutup10++, but I don't like the idea of having to keep checking up on it, and apparently windows 10 runs better, but then again I didn't see any drivers on HP for windows 10 for this thing: https://www.microcenter.com/product/698806/hp-omen-max-16-ak0003nr-16-gaming-laptop-computer-shadow-black-aluminum
>>
>>107630251
Try backing up your drivers with this: https://github.com/lostindark/DriverStoreExplorer afterwards install them again with the software, or device manager, or command line (look this up).
For license, anons on here will usually recommend you to install an IoT LTSC version of windows and activate with MAS (the script you mentioned). If you plan to install the same edition, you may not need to activate at all since the manufacturer may store the key in the bios.
Basically: activate with script if Windows doesn't automatically activate it or if you're installing an edition that's different than what your laptop came with.

Anyone use wintoys here? How is it? Would you recommend it?

You're probably looking at the picture on an IPS too, because that IPS has raised blacks.
>>
>>107626196
Congratulations OP, you have now had the pleasure of seeing all the industry shills crawl out of the woodwork the moment you dare criticize OLED.
You'd think it'd be better if these companies would put all this effort into improving on Micro LED and getting it to us sooner but no, it's far more profitable to sell us disposable, literal planned obsolescence displays.
>>
>>107633754
It's visible but that's such a minor issue
CRT and WOLED is weirldy oversaturated

>>
>>107630194

Yeah the C4 is pretty saturated, but expected for a consumer display, I dialed it down too.
It's the only consumer display in that lineup.

>>107632529
>don't buy an oled monitor if your use case is using it as a monitor
...k?
>latest one gets at least 3 years without any burn in
wow a 1000$ monitor lasts 3 years! that's great!
>Not needed, nobody uses a full white taskbar
oh so apparently burn in only happens with white... silly me...
actually, white is the least problmatic color, you are completely clueless about the basics of the thing you're talking about, kys.
>Literally non-issue at 4K
4k at 27 and up isn't THAT dense, it's a non issue on small phone screens, sure, on a monitor it's only a non issue if you're blind, plus the most useful feature of a 4k monitor is normally the drastically improved text rendering over 1080p, text fringing is defeating the biggest point of a 4k screen.
>but you can just fix the refresh rate at max, then it's a non issue
having to give up using vrr (the best display related technology humankind has ever created in the last 100 years) on such an expensive screen is an issue, yes.
>Thrice as good than other options
yeah if you keep pretending all of those huge flaws just don't exist, sure.

ITT we share helpful firefox user_prefs that make it better. I'll start.

user_pref("full-screen-api.transition-duration.enter", "0 0");
user_pref("full-screen-api.transition-duration.leave", "0 0");
user_pref("full-screen-api.warning.timeout", 0);

This removes the annoying banner saying press ESC to exit fullscreen every time you fullscreen a yt video.

user_pref("media.videocontrols.picture-in-picture.video-toggle.has-used", true);
user_pref("browser.engagement.downloads-button.has-used", true);

With this in your user.js before you open the browser it won't popup instructions on obvious features. I have a pretty big user.js based on betterfox that disables telemetry and toggles all the settings the way I like them so it's completely configured on install without doing anything, and then I've added a bunch of minor quality of life conveniences like these. Share yours anons.
