bought an older XP computer cause I wanted an older machine to just own, I like the look of the old computer cases and wanted something that could run some old programs and cd-roms, didn't feel like emulating on my main pc.anyway my problem is I'm struggling to make out some of these parts, and also what to do in regards of if I need to add anything else to it. I'm trying to give it a reason to exist and evaluating the idea to install Windows 7 on it.So, can you use Windows 7 in these days? How much do you have to debloat it and uninstall things? And, more important, there's a way to not have it becoming a SECURITY NIGHTMARE?
Why do these people sperg out so hard over still using Windows 7?I'm using the server 2008R2 updates, but my XP machine does not get insta hacked either. The exploits are all local privilege escalation shit that does not matter at all for a home user. Don't run malware, it is that easy.
