Why doesn't Linux develop something like PowerShell? Shit is amazing.

that's me, and I really wish I could work with Python instead of PowerShell. Retries and exception handling in PS are a nightmare, but sadly there's a lot of things you can only do in PS, like accessing your Microsoft email servers. Sucks working in a company that has bought the whole MS package

I use powershell on Linux almost daily and my default browser is Edge. This is a new era.

There is a Windows music program from the 00's called Acid Pro 3. I loved that program. It was perfection. If you could make a from-scratch version of that as Linux freeware that would be the best thing ever. Ever!

I was shocked ngl. I use this for my PC and thought it was secure. oh well:

This is why hashchan goes straight to at cost posting with no profit or revenue strategy pure public infrastructure, the foundations of the digitial library of alexandrias courtyard

>Yes they would I've used every major Windows version since 3.11.
You have to be over 18 to post here.

>7 is snappy running from a period correct 7200 RPM HDD.
No it's not. With a 7200rpm drive they will, at best, manage to boot up on a fresh new install. If you use any modern application or even just an antivirus, they will slow down to a barely useable crawl. One of the first things we used to do when servicing Windows 7 machines was to change the boot drive to an SSD, fortunately they all use at most 500GB HDDs inside so it's easy to just do an image copy to a same size SSD, then run from that and have everything be 1000x faster.

Shit, I have an old Turion laptop somewhere that took ten minutes to boot Win7 from a HDD, then I swapped one of my old spares in and now it's snappy as Speedy Gonzalez, I mean as long as you don't do anything that would require CPU calculations or use more than 2GB of RAM (so basically one browser tab only).
>>
>>107690459
Windows 10 1703 was the last version that worked somewhat fine with HDDs.

I admit, I first came here in 2006 to escape regular forums and the faggot moderators that took themselves too seriously.
But there was a lot of useful information you could find, especially for electronics and cars - repairs, mods etc.
There were so many times I could find manufacturer documents to reference before buying something and DIY guides for repairing, modifying, flashing firmware etc.

Not to mention that particular expression is mostly used by pRedditors.
You can't blame FAGMAN for having gone full retard when you yourself buy into the very kike behavior they're promoting you buffoon.

As for the intentional degradation of internet indexing it's all part of the jew order agenda. I get your frustration but there's no solution in sight.
Read Brzezinski's book Between Two Ages , Americas role in the Technetronic Era.
It was published in the 70s by Carters security guy who formed the Trilateral Commission.

It describes how they're gonna architect these digital solutions (the internet) along with social media (yes it was planned way ahead of time like all other things) to condition the stupid goyim, with the end goal being transhumanism.

So if you think this gen-AI nonsense is disturbing you ain't seen nothing yet.
Within 10+ years tech will be obsolete for non-conformists who refuse to accept the BMI (brain machine interface) they'll be selling to cure/fix the next currentThang, ID2030 along with the rest of Agenda 21. You'll be given the choice to either A. Take it like a good goy (judging by your childish opening statement it sounds like you will). B. RESIST like the based, White, Christian men of history.

No one does. They can't. The software/OS world is fucked. Nothing works, nothing is reliable, everything is broken trash. This is because
>Companies hire the D student programmers/engineers who are grossly incompetent, to save money
>Companies hire quality and qualified developers/engineers who then have their hands tied by boomer executives who can't use their outlook without calling IT for help.
Either way, modern tech is dogshit. Sometimes on purpose (planned obsolescence) or by sheer incompetence.
I can walk you through how to install X, Y, and Z on your computer where I have zero problems, but you try it and run into a 1000 problems and brick your shitty system. Thus, no one can know what they're talking about.

They got sued by UNIX System Laboratories for license violation and copyright infringement. It went on for 2 years and then was settled out of court.

What has changed in the last 20 years?

Image formats, audio formats, video formats, codecs, etc. all are basically the same. No new software that really requires a new computer. Everything you can do today can be done on a 15 year old computer.

What has even changed in operating systems? Shiny buttons, fancy graphics, and more fluff just so people have something to feel good about when they post their lame ricing screenshots.

After so many years, we still don't even have an open design of a CPU, Motherboard, RAM or any component. Forget current generation, if that's too much to ask, but even the ones from a decade ago don't have an open design. At least that would've been good reason to upgrade.

Otherwise, what even is the point of upgrading the computer so often? Just to play stupid video games?
>>
>>107691738
Local AI is the only reason right now to scale up.
It's going to take what maybe 5 more years when you actually need to upgrade if not more.
It depends also what cpu type you have AM4 or AM5 if AVX512 will become important in the future then I at least need to upgrade.
