>Razer keyboard and mouse was causing kernel panicsThis whole fucking time I thought it was an issue with KDE or Wayland or some shit but the issue kept reoccurring. Fuck my stupid chud chungus life
Why don't you send a bug report to your package manager signaling their kernel release has faulty generic USB drivers? You are using the kernel's generic USB drivers, are you?
>>107657295When I did some digging, it was caused by the firmware of the keyboard throwing enumeration loops. I'm pretty sure I'm using generic USB drivers, I also had some drivers though for running the RGB, but it didn't fix the issue until I outright replaced what keyboard/mouse I was using...

How accurate is the temperature shown on these cheapo table clocks? I'd like to buy one just to have an idea of the temp inside some rooms, the humidity would also be nice.I'd appreciate some suggestions too if you own/know an accurate one, the cheaper the better because I need like 3-4. As long as they're within 1-2C from the real thing it would be great.
>>107656257Temperature is fairly accurate, even on the cheap ones. You can get cheap digital ones they'll use a small button cell which will need replacement eventually, but after like 6 months do it's not that bad.You can also just get analog ones, those cost about the same, are as accurate or more (though harder to read) and don't need batteries.Humidity is the tougher one. There are digital and analog temperature and humidity sensors. Neither is very accurate though digital seems to be slightly better imo. I have both digital and analog ones, and neither is correct, though the digital is off by about ±10% while the analog one can vary ±20%.It's enough for a rough "should I air out this room to prevent mold" check (which is what I use them for), but not much else. For a grow tent, 3d print farm or anything where accuracy matters, it's not good enough. I'd say get cheap ones from the bundle section. Digital if the accuracy matters to you, analog if you prefer the convenience of no batteries. Neither should cost you much (2-3$ each)
Noooo the daily 50 cent thing is gone now.
>>107657403Thank you very much for the explanation anon.
>>107656257>>107657403Some digital ones can take AAA batteries, I autistically soldered a AA battery holder on it and it lasts like 2 years and still show no sign of battery depletion. AAA would probably last a whole year easy anyways.

What actually useful things do you use LLMs forFor me it's dumb scripts - autohotkey scripts, browser userscripts, random python thingsThe models just one-shot most of these types of things now and it makes doing one-off things so trivial that I'll do a few of these on average every week now that never get used again
>>107657660Not much, mostly I try to get information about poorly documented libraries / 3rd party APIs / middleware. LLMs are incredibly unreliable in this aspect but they sometimes give me a starting point for manual research and / or testing. It's nothing major but I guess they help a little bit over regular search engines.
>>107657720>blackmail>or fetishno, it's just for learning how llm's workat some point i will setup an ai agent to automate the process
>>107657660I had one thing I wanted to use it for, and it wasn't an easy task to be fair but this was AI, a new paradigm, so I thought it could help.I wanted specific piece of software, or just knowing that the software in question existed would be good enough, but it didn't know, so it returned a few dead links for made up repos, a few things that weren't what I asked, then I decided it's not that great. Haven't used it since

Do you trust elliptic curves in cryptography? Assumedly, unlike RSA, they have shootguns in design phase rather than implementation.
>>107654618to what degree of trust?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nybVFJVXbwwhttps://crypto.stackexchange.com/questions/25786/severity-of-cooking-nist-p-curve-constantsi trust cryptography to be a window out of ignorance God can can compute an infinite amount in 0 time
>>107654754You mean a large amount in 1 Planck time?
>>107654789i'd assign that that to a lesser god, like a demiurgistrue God is infinite moves in zero time
>>107654618I've been thinking quite a lot about this lately. Elliptic curves look sound and their groups look superior to multiplicative groups modulo prime numbers. However, elliptic curves have really deep properties, who knows what attacks can be produced. Also, curves like 25519 are 20 years old, and people keep using them. Could there be specific attacks vs specific curves given enough motivation and time (say 20 years)?I've resolved to stick to RSA with a mongo key length. I can even use some old versions of PGP with it. The code is easy and fun to review.
>>107654618I dont trust any cryptography other than One Time Pads, as all kinds of other cryptographic algorithms are jewish.
