Is the a fork of this that doesn't have all the tranny shit?
If not how would one go about forking it, and what features should be added?

Determinate Nix - A fork that's run by men who do business with defense contractors, rather than by trannies.
Guix - An alternative implementation of the same ideas. Run by people who are highly ideological, but in the Stallman free software way rather than the woke way.

Lua gurus, please help me.
I want a script that log URLs opened with mpv, and append if it worked or not.
I've tried asking AI to do and got this
local log_file = io.open("~/.config/mpv/mpv_urls.log", "a")

mp.add_hook("on_load", 50, function()
local path = mp.get_property("path")
if not path or not path:match("^https?://") then
return
end

local timestamp = os.date("%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S")
local log_entry = string.format("\n[%s] %s", timestamp, path)

The old fan is making a slight rattling noise on startup but it goes away after 5 min. It's spinning at 3000rpm to cool down Athlon x250 which gets hot very quickly during cpu spikes (it shuts itself down at 70C). I'd like to replace it but I can't find any 70mm fans. Is there any CPU fan model (with a heatsink or not) that would fit this old motherboard (released in 2009), if yes then which size should I choose?

There is literally no reason to use Linux. Heck, there's no reason to use anything other than Mac OS™ and Windows™(10®). Why, the poorfag asks? Allow me to explain-

You use Mac for-
>showing cute videos to your friends
>sniggling up with your gf
>going hiking and casting to reddit
>just being a super relient go-to machine that'll have your back in a pinch

Windows you use for
>playing video games
>making expensive machines
>school computers

Linux, on the other hand, exists only for these principle reasons
>watching adult cartoons

Alright well since firefox is doubling down on implementing ai in their browser and theyre completely ignoring their user base professing how they dont want it. Which is the better fork of firefox to flee to? Im considering waterfox or librewolf since both are likely not to implement the new aislop bloat. Recently heard about this floorp browser too but its new to me and idk anything about it. Plus the name sounds gay as fuck which is the only reason im suspicious of it, the name alone already sounds like its begging to be abandoned but thats just my surface level take

I use firefox and i'm thinking to change to something but I don't know what to choose.

I made an HTML file with images to use as a default page.
Since I have enabled the option to restore the previous session I never see the start page and they removed the option to set a custom url each time you open a new tab.
I can't use the file I have created unless i keep it open in a tab.
>Inb4 try the extension that allow you to set a cutsom url when you open a new tab

Reminder of the following:

1. Google will merge ChromeOS and Android to form a FOSS Linux-based desktop OS that will be 100% free to download and use.

https://www.androidauthority.com/aluminium-os-android-for-pcs-3619092/

2. Windows will be severely affected by this new, totally free competitor and will bleed marketshare.

3. All existing Linux desktop environments will be totally outclassed by Google's top secret desktop UI and underlying OS. Even Linux users will give up on shit like Mint and just use Google's desktop for their daily driver OS.

2026 will finally be the year of the Linux desktop, and it will be because Google will do to desktops what they did to phones.

You know it's coming. Don't act like this was a surprise.

i think it's too late. the linux desktop is already an unsalvageable wasteland of shit. 100 options and none of them are good. a desktop should be consistent, simple, easy-to-use, stable. saying you have a ton of options and each of those options has a ton of features and themes and whatever is completely missing the point.

because I don't think it's actually going to take jobs, it's just going to make them different. And right now as a wfh programmer it saves me hours a week on boring programming tasks that aren't creative or fun to work on.

AI actually can't really write new stuff, and it still costs a lot of money to train an AI on a large code base.

Off the shelf AI that only takes 5000 characters isn't going to read my entire code base and fix high level problems without a human programmer reangling it and keeping the problems small and manageable.

And I don't think they'll be able to replace 10 programmers with 1 or 2 using AI. Learning the code base and knowing what to prompt will still require a programmer knowing the code they work on. I don't think 1 programmer is going to be able to learn about 5 different projects just because AI is coding the boilerplate code for them.

The Coup De Gras of this interview was 52:42. The freak literally says:
"Allowing AI developers to 'do what they want' has been a terrible idea, so we NEED a crippling and absolutely debilitating economic shock! Google should be broken up but we've missed that opportunity! We NEED a violent shock to change the tech industry and stop them from doing what they want!"
So the PoS just hates technology and computing in general.

"Glacier Skyloong GK104 Pro Full Size" on Amazon is the closest I could find to illustrate what I'm looking for but it also has a bunch of bullshit I don't really care about (screen, knobs, built in calculator wtf?)

Does anybody know of a keyboard like this? It's such a waste having my left thumb hanging out not doing anything.
