>on a nice rugIt's a Krux Space Carpet XXL, a local brand but it's just a 97x40cm mouse pad with a custom print. You could probably order something similar with your own carpet pattern. Needless to say it instantly adds heavy swagger to the command station.Could use a nice keyboard armrest though, but these wooden ones for a 104 board seem a bit pricey. Unless of course the wrist rest anon has a good lead.

>>106350568>Could use a nice keyboard armrest though, but these wooden ones for a 104 board seem a bit pricey. Unless of course the wrist rest anon has a good lead.I mean it depends on what you want visually.Foam wrist rests will not last as long, but they can be had in bundled for sub 5$ (I see one for 3.50€ from foam).Wood will always cost a bit more, just because of the material, I find 14.17€ to be really fair for a fullsize keyboard. The one for the mouse being 7€ hurts a bit more, but still even at 20€ overall for both I find that fair. There also seems to be PU ones for around 10$. I had a foam one before ordering the wood ones, so I could tell I actually enjoyed them and used them, especially if you type much it's much more ergonomic for me.

>>106357841companies almost always cheap out on things they can get away withTwo very cheap examples I can give you are mechanical keyboards with switches that aren't lubed (when doing it at the scale of these companies, factory lubing would be SO cheap) and CPUs that don't have enough thermal or decent thermal compound, reaching the point of purchase guides having disclaimers to people buying the CPU that they SHOULD delid their CPU despite the risks because it's consistently like a 20 degree difference under load. It would likely cost them literal pennies to use a good amount of a better compound too
>>106358510Anon, only springs in switches should be lubed. They create the most annoying scratchy noise.Just cleaned my kailh creams (purchased on ali 5 years ago) and lubed their springs with an engine oil.
I've got about a billion IEM headphone cables so I thought how can I ween myself off chinkfi. Instead of locking in with more headphones I thought about how I can seal independence long term. I bought chink 2 pin to standard 2 pin and qdx instead of 2 more pairs
Got an assortment of eartips for my sony WF-1000XM5 since I've been struggling to get a good fit and seal. Feels pretty good, and doesn't seem to fall out.Soft-Mixed model for $14. Seems expensive, but they are much nicer than the standard silicone models and it's still cheaper than Comply ($25)
>>106358630Even just lubing the springs would make a big difference, but most don't do thatEven so, lubing more IS better, some parts shouldn't be lubed on tactile switches but still more than just springs
Hydraulic bike brake maintenance kit, $9. They've included everything I needed and my bike brakes now work. Not much to say here except I had previously bought a similar set but it didn't include the right adapters for my bike, so I wish I'd just gotten this extensive set from the start.
I am going to order Poco Pad 12" just fucking now. Someone talk me out.
Since we're on the topic of mech keyboards, what's the best way to deal with the rattling in the longer keys? I made the mistake of switching to silent switches and the space bar noise is really annoying me.
>>106358928Well, you can't fix this. The problem is - design of stabilizers.
>>106358944Is there no stabilizer that fix this issue? This can't be right.
>>106358971Look, stem of stabilizer is a thick dong, and a housing of stabilizer is a loose gaped cunt. You can use band-aid on walls of housing to reduce rattling. Google band aid mode for keyboards.
Ah, don't talk me out. They won't deliver it in time anyways. I shall fly in Turkey in 2 weeks...

>>106359289the one problem? It has really loud and annoying coil whine.
>>106359307fortunately we can fix that. off come the feet with the ali isopropyl bottle ($1.40)
>>106359329Unfortunately, the superglue technique didn't work and the coil is exactly as annoying as before. However it does seem like they skimped on the output capacitors; wonder if adding a new one there will help? And it does! Add some hot glue for good measure, and it goes back together, only slightly cracking the base plate of the earbuds charger. It still works though!

>>106359507https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/how-to-quickly-easily-fix-coil-whine-coil-choke-noise.294015/basically the idea is that coil whine comes from vibrating coils, but if you glue them down to the PCB that changes the resonant frequency and eliminates the whine.

>>106362035>Are you sure these are actual LCD screens inside the buttons and not some place to put stickers instead? Not that anon, but looks more like it's one big screen and software that displays an image with the icons at the right location.I never got the point of a streamdeck for someone who isn't streaming, you don't need the variable buttons and macros can do the same, but they seem somewhat popular with zoomers for some reason.
>>106362035I think so, they even have a software to change the icons, it’s like a chinese version of a stream deck

the 12v mini fan that i bought is too loud even inside my pc case and it had the cables swapped so positive one was black and red the negative...
>>106362360I mean I suppose that makes sense, but it seems like a gimmick even then, it can't do mixing or anything you'd want it to, other than outsource some keybindings to a new button, which is vaguely more useful than those generic macro keyboards, which themselves are only marginally more useful than just a shortcut on your keyboard.>>106362454I mean I guess, but I still see why I'd need specific keys for that. CAD software is a lot like what you're describing, all it does is move my shortcuts from the keyboard, where my hands are resting anyways (or one of them is) to a new position that's further away from that. If you want to do professional editing, you'd want some blackmagic design mixer or some shit, if you do CAD, you'd want to use your keyboard. It just feels like it's kids who see their favorite streamer have it so they want it too.
Are there any 3D player (not a smartphone, not connected to the internet) that have an "Audiobooks" function that allows me to separate them by folder (not mixed with the music) and resume them after stopping them and listening to something else? Something like the Sandisk Clip Sport Plus, if possible with a MicroSD slot?
>>106360574>>106361105bluetack or moulding clay also works as a more reversible and easier method
>>106362558i mean i would use regular shortcuts in the parts of the CAD i know but less say that i am using the finite element analysis part, which i usually dont use it, seing the icons in the keys would be helpfulsome programs have way too many functions to know everything, and even if you manage it takes some timebut probably in cad those 3d space mouse or whatever they are called with buttons are a better options

I just got price fluctuated out of $25.There was $10 off unaccounted for in the sum of the whole. I didn't have time to take an even closer look.Maybe their system noticed too and corrected...About $15 in discount vanished over various items.I was ready to spend about 50 bucks. Now the cart is 70 something. That kills the deal for me. I will remove the bigger ticket items and spend maybe 10-15 bucks in this sale. This has left me in a sour mood. I was also thinking about the red bullbar but I think that it would be too jarring so I went with black instead.

I have decision paralysis, help me out anons.Wanted to buy cup coasters to comfy-max my morning coffee or tea, but mostly for when guests are over.Picrel are the options, the first is just cheap felt coasters. Cheap but likely not long-lasting.Second was my favorite but it's exactly 8cm and my cups are also exactly 8cm in diameter, feels like having a coaster that's precisely the size of the cup might be annoying.Third is nicely priced, but comes without a holder and it's untreated wood. Then again I could just oil it.Fourth is nice, but also more expensive than all of the others and the most grandma-core of the bunch. Which one would (you) get?
>>106368069I inherited a bunch of nice wooden furniture, so coasters are a must for me. I personally like leather coasters the most. I don’t like wooden ones that feel slippery even though they aren’t, also don’t like thick ones. I’d go with the grandma core ones from your options
>>106361858anon can you share a quick review? I’m looking for something to shitpost and read forums/manga from the couch instead of sitting on the computer desk, how is the screen? What OS? Side load capabilities?
>>106350426does anyone have recommendations on Hall Effect keyboards?does anyone know of an affordable option that just works?
>>106368069I'd EASILY go for the top onesall three other options seem terrible to meI prefer cork coasters but hey
>>106366912The math isn't really mathing. I've been trying to spreadsheet this with various combinations of coupons and discounts. The numbers are all over the place. What is the strange math. It's like every time I refresh the numbers change.Like some sort moving labyrinth. I feel like I'm losing my mind.
>>106368495>I don’t like wooden ones that feel slippery even though they aren’tI mean they come with rubber feet, but still untreated wood just seems like it'll be wood on wood, which looks weird, and untreated wood stains easily (though I would oil it at least).>>106368585>all three other options seem terrible to meMind explaining why?The only thing that seems to uniquely set the top apart from the others is that they're thin and absorbent, but I don't really understand why I'd need either.>I prefer cork coasters but heyThey sell those too, but I found cork to be not that aesthetically pleasing and probably fairly easy to stain.
>>106368692>but I found cork to be not that aesthetically pleasingI actually love the aesthetic>and probably fairly easy to stain.Ehh, not that easy, but I feel like it doesn't detract from cork because it's not uniform in the first place>The only thing that seems to uniquely set the top apart from the others is that they're thin and absorbent, but I don't really understand why I'd need either.I feel like those are two really good attributes in a coaster. Thick coasters just feel unwieldy, hell even thin coasters already feel wrong to a lot of people. You WILL invariably have liquid run down the sides onto the coaster, in my opinion this and the condensation from the glass/mug are the reason to use a coaster in the first place.>Mind explaining why?Thickness, material and texture
>>106368733Thanks for going into detail anon.
>>106366303The Pro version is pretty similar yes. The two main differences I notice are no right Control key and one less macro. Some keys aren't in the same position but you can probably remap them. Also no ISO version I think.
you want siliconeeverything made of siliconeyou can solder on your coastersair-fry on your coasterwash your coasters in a commercial car wash in the bed of your truck while using a coaster as a grip to open the cap on your overheating radiator
>>106369306I don't particularly like plastics. They're fine for a soldering mat, which I do have, but in general I dislike the aesthetic, I much prefer wood, metal and glass. Fabric/fibers for coasters too I suppose.
>>106368069I'd honestly just grab the Ikea ones. They're super cheap, made with bamboo and can also be used as lids with their mugs.
Since a keyboard talk is going on...I'm having a hard time looking for a replacement for my aging K70 LUX. Got it as my first mechanical keyboard but at this point enough time has passed for me to get something proper with the current state of mechanical keyboards. The issue is that the current overabundance of choice simultaneously means that I can't get what I want, and what I want is pedantically orthodox.-104-key ANSI-WoB keycaps with standard legends-three status lightsBut also more modern.-switch hotswap-NKRO-QMK/VIA-detachable cableAll without spending more than I did for the K70 LUX, which was 550zł, or ~$150.The result is that no one offers what I want. Keychron is very close, but they drop the ball on things like wacky keycaps or stupid Win/Mac status LED's while taking away the Scroll Lock LED. So let's say that I choose a model with four macro keys and use the RGB backlight for status LED's. Now the issue is the lack of keycap availability. Just about every set of WoB keycaps will have to get """creative""", so you don't get / and * on the numpad, but instead you get the math symbols. Even though I use these keys for entering / and * so it fucks with everything. And the lack of window keycaps for the status LED's, with the ones available being a) expensive and b) having different lettering. So if I want something that's seemingly standard, I'd have to spend more than for some premade castrated wacky 96% abomination. It's pissing me off to no end so maybe anons could help me out. I want the most standard looking ANSI board with modern features and tactile switches without breaking the bank. Any way I could find a decent set of a base board, switches and keycaps that would fit my needs without breaking the bank? Backlighting is optional, I've learned to realize WoB is what I want, but I also want the modern features of mechanical keyboards that membranes don't have.

>>106369395I'm not sure I understand your problem. Isn't the K10 what you're looking for? Also there are tons of WoB keycaps on Ali. Many of them come with additional keys for the top row, so it doesn't really matter if you get a keyboard with macro keys.

>>106369736Nah, now I use only rotary shavers.
>>106369424how does the brush work ? you buy and knot and handle separately and glue them or something ?also, I'm looking at the boti page and the handle does not have the stamp on the bottom.
>>106369688That's why I have such a problem finding a keyboard. I'm pedantic and most people are not. No the K10 is not what I'm looking for. First of all, four status LED's. Num, Caps, Mac, Win. If the latter two were gone and instead replaced with Scroll, we'd be halfway there. But no, because the entire keyboard market has their foot in their mouth and have to get quirky. Even if I had a Mac, I don't need a fucking status LED to tell me which mode I'm in, I could look at/feel the switch at the back of it, or better yet, use QMK/VIA to program whichever LED I wanted to be the status LED.If this is the type of brain damaged fuckery everyone has to force onto their products than I'd rather have *no* status LED's and program the backlighting for it. But again, that badly narrows my keycap choice as window keycaps are insanely rare, expensive and don't match existing sets.As for the keycaps, again, missing the point. I said nothing about the macro row and the macro row is the least of my issues. Look at something like Keychron's WoB keycaps and these.https://www.alohakb.com/products/epbt-black-and-white-doubleshot-keycapsI like these since they don't try to reinvent the wheel. The numpad / and * are exactly that, not some math symbols for toddlers, it has secondary function descriptions and even has SysRq on Print Screen. I want something like this, full IBM PC traditionalism, zero compromises on the designer's ass retarded """creative liberty""" when it comes to legends, but these cost 1/3rd of my budget in which I still have to accommodate the main board and the switches. And I still need to find a board that doesn't take any """creative liberties""" with the status LED's, and has all the modern features I'm looking for. It's especially maddening when even if I say *exactly* what I'm looking for and why I have a hard time finding it, people are still baffled why it's a problem for me and suggest going for compromises I already fucking said I don't want.
>>106369753>how does the brush work ? you buy and knot and handle separately and glue them or something ?You can buy them separately and setting them yourself with epoxy/silicone or send the massage to boti folks to do it for you, tell them the setting you'd like it to behttps://apshaveco.com/pages/shaving-brush-loft-size-morebut you can just ask them for their recommend, they are the pro>also, I'm looking at the boti page and the handle does not have the stamp on the bottom.Use this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005470067722.html
I have to vent in a second post because holy fucking shit I have no fucking idea why is it so hard to grasp.I've EXPLICITLY said>three status lightsAnd wrote an ENTIRE rant as for WHY I find all of Keychron's offerings dogshit, only to hear>durr the k10 is what u wantNO IT IS FUCKING NOT AND I SAID THAT IT IS NOT. Look at this shit. This is what the K10 has. It has exactly what I said I hate, and yet that's what I get recommended after going out of my fucking way to say that this is NOT WHAT I FUCKING WANT. We had mechanical keyboards with three status LED's that represented the exact same shit as the IBM Model M did for fucking DECADES, yet NOW that the mechanical keyboard market is apparently so overabundant with choice, EVERY SINGLE FUCKING FAGGOT MANUFACTURER OUTRIGHT REFUSES TO BE NORMAL AND DO WHAT EVERYONE DID FOR DECADES AND INSTEAD THEY HAVE TO REINVENT THE WHEEL AND TELL YOU TO EITHER ACCEPT IT OR EAT SHIT.I am genuinely going to lose my mind trying to find a new keyboard with not only how ass backwards the entire keyboard marker is, but also how everyone has accepted this retardation as the norm and are baffled when someone is looking for something that's not retarded. If Keychron can sell all of these wacky zany designs at these price points with all the features that I want, then they can sell exactly what I want at that price point. I shouldn't, under any fucking circumstance, pay a premium for going against the grain of what all the keyboard manufacturers are peddling. All I'm asking is for a keyboard in a classic look and form factor with all the modern features, but apparently this is too much to ask for and I'm the crazy one wanting something like it despite the fact how many people pay premium for OEM/Cherry WoB keycaps to replace all of the wacky zany ones every manufacturer is peddling. Everyone clearly wants what I want as well, yet you still have to pay premium for it. I fucking hate this market so goddamn much.
>>106369885ah that makes sense, thanks !
>>106369799>It's especially maddening when even if I say *exactly* what I'm looking for and why I have a hard time finding it, people are still baffled why it's a problem for me and suggest going for compromises I already fucking said I don't want. No, I get what you want, you want a classic keyboard with modern features. What I don't understand is why you can't reprogram the firmware to do what you want with the LEDs, or get a V6 or whatever and a cheap set of WoB keycaps on Ali. Most sets come with / and *, but if what you want is having "SysRq" on your key instead of just "Print", then yes it's going to be more rare.
>>106369917>I shouldn't, under any fucking circumstance, pay a premium for going against the grainMay I suggest a econ 101 class anon?
>>106369917>I shouldn't, under any fucking circumstance, pay a premium for going against the graineconomies of scale motherfucker
>>106369973>>106370113>What I don't understand is why you can't reprogram the firmware to do what you want with the LEDsI've read about it, Keychron doesn't let you reprogram those LED's. Because Keychron represent the hipster cancer that is destroying the market, you will enjoy your useless Mac toggle LED's and you will like it.>get a V6I was thinking about it, but again, window keycaps. If I get solid WoB keycaps, if I use the macro keys (which are good to have), they won't have the LED's clearly visible. If I want windowed keycaps then it narrows the choice a lot. Though I guess if I could find blank windowed function row profiled ones, I could use three of those for the LED's, leave one blank and that would be good enough. Still I'd have to be careful not to break the bank.>>106370065Tell me how expensive is it to design a product that has three, not four status LED's, just like every keyboard has been designed since the 80's right up until this decade, then pre-assemble it with keycaps that you are already manufacturing en masse. Because that's all I'm asking for, and the grain I'm going against is not what consumers want, but what manufacturers are forcing on the consumers. Take a shot whenever people pay for WoB keycaps for their custom keyboards. That should be a sign that what manufacturers are peddling is not what the market wants, but at the same time this means that they can double dip on you having to pay for normal keycaps to replace their retarded ones.So you can stick your snarky economics lessons up your ass since everything is pointing to the manufacturers being in the wrong and not adapting to what the market wants just because they can make more money off of people.
>>106369540This is what I'm using to load my brushes everyday lol, a free Rilakkuma mug from Lawson with Arko stick pressed in.That bowl is kinda cool tho since it is plastic you don't have to worry about the bowl slipping out of your hand when making lather but I prefer face lather so no bowl for me
>>106370125https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economies_of_scaleTL;DR: Not enough people want to buy what you want to buy to make it worth it, so if someone makes it, there'll be a premium attached. It's not that it's "one less LED", it's that it's an entirely new injection mold.>That should be a sign that what manufacturers are peddling is not what the market wants, but at the same time this means that they can double dip on you having to pay for normal keycaps to replace their retarded ones.I really dislike conspiracy brains. "It's a worldwide conspiracy of various manufacturers in various countries collaborating without anyone leaking shit and without one of them making what everyone secretly wants to gain a competitive advantage and absorb the rest in market share."Just think about what you're proposing for a second man.
>>106370189No, you know what it is? It's not that people want those retarded Mac/Win LED's. Most people that buy Keychron use it with Windows/Linux. The reason they're there is because Keychron puts them there and most people don't care, but I do. Except there doesn't seem to be another manufacturer that sells 104 boards with the features I want except Keychron so I'm SOL in my choices. I could eat the price of extra keycaps and having a bag of useless stock ones, but my main issue is that the choice of base boards is insanely narrow. It's not like the market for 104 boards is small either since there's always a new one popping up from time to time.>conspiracy brainsBut anyways, this is why I can't fucking find anything. Instead of recommendations it's everyone arguing with me about why I'm wrong and making it all about me arguing why I'm wrong about what I want and how I should buy what everyone else buys, instead of either giving me a potential recommendation that could suit me, or just saying I'm SOL. The whole>i want this but not keychron because exactly of XYZ>uhh just get keychron with XYZinteraction especially pissed me off. I cannot get any recommendations even if I say EXACTLY what I want because I don't fucking know, people refuse to read before responding? If you don't have a recommendation for me that would suit me then just shut the fuck up.Again, I am not asking for much. But if the market is so robust and varied that wanting something that's been available in every gaming keyboard in the last decade, that was an industry standard in all keyboards, is now a premium because how dare me wanting a standardized keyboard layout, then fuck it, guess I'll have to buy a membrane without NKRO. I'm the crazy conspitard and I deserve to eat shit for not getting in line with the rest. Go fuck yourself.
pretty funny that you're looking for the most basic keyboard and refusing to use a dolch keyset while owning the most ass looking keyboard ever made
>>106370322First of all: stop giving a shit about me, this isn't about me, this is about keyboard recommendations. Don't have any, shut the fuck up.Second of all: mine isn't the RGB model and I have the backlight disabled.Third of all: this was my first mechanical keyboard before I knew what I wanted, bought almost a decade ago. People change with time, hard concept to comprehend, I know.Got any more snarky remarks to derail the thread with?

>>106369917>>106369395You'll likely end up just going with a barebones kit you build yourselfSadly 104/108 kits are less common than TKL or 75% but there should still be some out there with all the things you're looking for as they're currently pretty commonI haven't been to /mkg/ since I built my own but you could check there?Monsgeek M5 could be an option as it has everything you're asking for except it's 108 rather than 104 and might be a little more expensive after switches and caps (like 5-10$)There's cheaper options out there, but like I said you'll have to check /mkg/ to get more up to date info
>>106370378>implying I haven't tried already>implying I haven't been told the same shit there alreadyAt this rate crushing my nuts would be a more pleasant experience than trying to find a new keyboard. >>106370415>but I don't want to pay >1000zł going that route.damn, I was just checking US prices and it seemed like it'd be like 160$ altogether>implying I haven't been told the same shit there alreadyTo be fair you come off pretty inflamed so you're an easy target to trollIf you simply ask for 104 key hotswap keyboards/barebone kits that have QMK/VIA you'll get some recommendations that likely won't fully have what you want (maybe they'll have different LEDs or no detachable cable) but you'll likely get multiple recommendations and can pick from themBut yeah like I said, full size is a lot less common so you kinda have to pay more if you want the customization/nice to haves that are popular in smaller formats because most people rocking 104/108 are using mass produced shit usually, like the one you're currently using
>>106370457>160$Around 590zł, that's acceptable.>To be fair you come off pretty inflamedThat's true. I'm sick of trying to find something that looks like a standard keyboard but has all the fancy features without breaking the bank and my perfectionism drives me up the wall with how everyone insists on making their keyboards quirky in some way. And don't even get me started on manufacturers that claim a 96% or a 98% is "full-size". Destroying your entire muscle memory for 2-3cm lesser width and telling you with a straight face that's "full-size".
>>106370292>or just saying I'm SOLConsider this your wakeup call. You're SOL.Either pay up for a more expensive model, or live with one more LED than you want.

I think brands like Ajazz or Redragon have full size keyboards with the features you want but they usually look like garbage so you'll probably need to buy new keycaps. Also have you considered getting a TKL and a separate numpad? Sounds dumb but there may be more options.

>>106371809>Fully open source, you can literally do anything with this thing>Can run [...] regular desktop linuxIf any chinkheld shill threads I clicked on before mentioned this I wouldn't have glossed over these completely. If Moonlight or RPGMaker work without any hitches I might have a use case.Any value in using one as a DAP?
>>106371809hall effect sticks?ips or oled?
>>106372854Moonlight works fine.>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr83DM-Asi8
>>106372887IPS but a really good one, 230 PPI and the colors are great. It doesn't have hall sticks but it can be upgraded with them in like 3 minutes, the whole thing is pretty modular. I put some $10 ones from aliexpress on mine, can't really tell a difference in feel desu but at least they won't get stick drift.
>>106373010got the link for them? I'll put it in my wish listalso how long does the battery last
>>106372655I don't have hearing aids so I can't say, sorry anon. I don't have any loud chirps in any mode, be it passthrough or not.
>>106373022Anywhere from 1-5 hours, depends on what you play. >>106373093what is even WiFi for?
>>106373097Some people use it for achievements. On the usual emulator linux distros it's mostly useful for updating the OS but you can achieve the same by plugging a wifi dongle in. It's mostly worth it if you wanna put android on it or use it for something that requires wifi like game streaming or fucking around with linux.
>>106373117I see.are there any multiplayer possibilities? like WiFi between two of these things?or video out or using it as a controller or screen casting
>>106373138I saw they mention "wifi multiplayer" on some ali listings, I haven't tried it but there's no reason why it shouldn't work if setup right. No video out, the chipset doesn't support it.
I'm looking at some listings and a bunch are apparently cloned of it that don't support the OS and have worse screen.
>>106373199I think all of the ones on the wiki >>106373093 should be legit. I wouldn't recommend a clone, they're a bit cheaper but only have half the ram.
>>106368563I like it very much. My previous tablet experiences go as follows: MiPad (OG one, with Tegra SoC), Tab S3, Ipad Pro (M2) and this one, OnePlus Pad 2. I use it more or less as you want: web browsing and a bit of shitposting, YouTube and movies on trips, reading some books from time to time while laying in bed. >How the screenNothing comes even close to S3 (OLED), but it's big, bright, vivid, 120 (I think? Maybe 144) Hz with frequency per app feature (which is very cool for energy management: do you need 144Hz while reading?). My main gripe is probably that it doesn't go dim enough -- obviously it can't reach OLED levels, but I feel like the backlight can be lower, would help in the dark. >Which OSAndroid with OnePlus skin. Looks like ipad. Doesn't get in the way. Has a number of "ai" features, but every one I've encountered so far you have to explicitly opt in. Almost no bloatware I can think of out of the box. All the Google services are present, which to my surprise is a concern with chink devices still>Side load capabilities It's Android. You check one box in settings and install whatever you want. As for ROMs and rooting and unlocked bootloader -- I don't know and don't really care. There are a couple of nice features: very fast charging and video out over USB. Powerful, very smooth, great sound with a ton of speakers. Cameras are shit, but who uses them. Mine also came with a case included, rather nice. Oh, one more gripe: official accessories are ridiculously expensive, not even Apple level, but actually more expensive. 100 Euro for a pencil, and 150 for a keyboard case.
>>106372387OPPO Enco Air 3
>>106372786scarbir loves them, i personally think they're at a really sweet price for what it gives you but it lacks bass and emphasizes the mids too much. for youtube vids and movies then this is a no-brainerbuy buy buy

>>106376925While I'd generally agree, women have fairly different aesthetic requirements than me. I'm a guy living alone, so while it shouldn't look ass obviously to women, I am going for a different "vibe". A lot of female interior design converges into that sort of scandinavian-ikea-core minimalism with a bunch of wall art and knicknacks that I just don't really want for my space.I can ask my sister though, she has more of a french country lodge aesthetic that I enjoy. Issue is my home is a (deliberate) clash of industrial themes with organic accents, so a lot of plants and bright on one side, with a bunch of exposed metal on the other. Think raw heating pipe as a wardrobe, recycled oil drump as a bedstand, but at the same time many books, various plants, both small and big, and a lot of warm light.
>>106377124nta, in a practical sense i like cloth when it comes to coasters because it soaks water up and has no holes like bamboo. the felt coasters are right up my alley - cheap, light, rubber base grips the table, easily disposablebut then again, they're ugly as sin and if you're buying furniture for style and not practicality then adult coasters like the solid wood coasters are great for beer bottles, slim cans, whiskey cups and wine glasses, maybe not so good for coffee cups because of the sound it makes when you pick it up and set them downthe wicker ones with textures are great for coffee and cocoa mugs. very chic and cosy and the girls will love itthis is something to think about when you're buying things for your own house but **other people will use them**consider the 5 senses these items have and how you use them. think about the weights and sizes. you'll understand it better once you buy more of the stuff.
>>106368069Not in your pic, but I've got cork ones from Ikea. No slipping, no holes to let liquids through, big enough to use when cooking to put pots and casserole dishes on, sold in packs of three.
Speaking of handheld chink consoles, I got a Retroid Pocket 5 at the start of last year and I really like it.It was my first AMOLED device and the screen is amazing, I mainly use it as a Moonlight/Artemis device but it can run shit up to Switch (kinda).Battery life is great and it having Wifi 6 makes it great for streaming. The only things I don't like about it is the layout (I like xbox-style thumbsticks better) and I wish it was just a bit more powerful. As it is it can run most Switch games, but the harder to run stuff only at 30fps and in handheld mode.Would be nice if the screen had 120hz refresh rate too.I'm waiting for the grip to get here to see if that makes the PS style sticks more comfortable.
>>106377441Ayn will announce Odin 3 soon, it should be more or less what you want: 8g3 (or close) SoC, new 6" screen with 120Hz refresh rate, Xbox layout. But that's just speculation based on their latest announcement.
>>106377485Yeah, but the Odin2 was already 50% more expensive than the RP5 and it's not like I care about Basedtch games. Also I liked the Odin 2 Portal better but that was more expensive still. But anyways, I feel like using an old phone with something like a Gamesir G8 controller is a really good alternative as well, if somebody is looking for a more budget option. I used that for a bit but my old phone was too tall and narrow so it looked really odd and the battery on it was on its last leg as well.

Is RAM from a chinese seller on eBay likely to be legit or some sort of refurb?
>>106378116Never had any issues with aliexpress ram. idk if it's legit but it works.
>>106378162Hmm. Struggling to decide whether to take the plunge for RAM from Ali.
>>106378243If it's DDR4 or DDR3 it's fine, just don't got for DDR5 if it's too cheap to be true.
~$22 pico psu clone, works ok. Feed it with 19V 2A brick from LG monitor that died.Power draw went from 20W with standard Dell PSU to 13W.
>>106378249thanks. It's only around a £10 saving, but the draw is that the RAM might be faster if it's the one actually claimed. I'd still feel off about it, I don't even know enough about RAM to test it properly. Hmmmmm indeed.
>>106378413You test it with MEMTEST86, check the reviews and see if anybody mentions running it.
>>106377576It seems like Ayn is adjusting their prices to be more competitive. Their new Thor is basically Retroid Flip 2 with a second screen, and it's just 20 bucks more. For a second OLED screen that's more than fair, as I see it.
>>106378116depends on the brandsome generic chinky brands (kingspec and the like) use chips from the main manufacturers that didnt quite pass QCAsgard/Gloway (same manufacturer) use good chips from a proper chink manufacturer whose name I forgot, they're actually reliable

>>106379481probablybut that's as good as it's going to get for laptop ddr3 at the price range
>>106379520I was looking at the DDR4 16GB 3200MHz version. The price is not too bad, the only appeal is that this specific RAM is CL20, whereas most if not all other RAM I've seen is CL22. From what I know the difference isn't that big, but on some games it can give 10% or so extra frames. It's appealing enough when the price works out the same, just never bought PC parts on Ali so don't know if it's worth bothering since I'd be ordering 2 sticks as well
>>106379538oh ok, the link pointed to a lddr3 model so i assumed that's what you were looking forlooks like you won't have many options for ddr4 anymore, it's either that or generic chinky brandshttps://aliexpress.com/item/1005005876135473.htmllooks ok
>>106379600ah sorry, that link is desktop ram, i'm looking for laptop ram. I'm guessing if there's a problem I wouldn't be able to do shit, but generally is RAM one of those parts that will run fine as long as it works initially?

>>106380433The numpad is on the left side instead of the right, it's super convenient if you use a mouse and the numpad at the same time and it gives more space for mouse movement and a better centered resting position on regular letter keys

Anyone bought GoPro knockoffs before? Any recs?
Any trustworthy dash cam setups or is it better to skip chink shit for this?I wanna be able to have footage to show if someone bangs into me or whatever
>>106381416Dash cams are things you don't want to cheap out on. That said, VIOFO dashcams are actually good; A129 plus for example. Also make sure when you get it, you're very familiar with how it works and how to recover video when you need it. Never be in the situation where you're like 'oh it wasn't recording properly, shit'.
>>106381397After going through a couple of them a couple of years ago: get an actual used GoPro. Maybe it's better now, but GoPro image stabilization and audio is second to none, maybe rivaled only by DJI. The rest were producing jelly-like image and WRROOOOOOO instead of sound. I used them on drones, which is a bit of an extreme case, but I feel like that was a good test.
I am considering buying moondrop space travel earbuds ,but the case design is so retarded. Anyone got any experience with it?
