Thoughts on this place? They’ve been reaching out to me constantly about they’re cybersecurity program, read a few things seems sketch but idk need to know if there’s something to be careful about
>>106417171Well known scam school that recruit teachers and fires them after less students go train. The biggest scam was their Gamedev “education” that told students of free unity only material. They got sued and students were left in debt. The cyber security scam they’re trying to trick you is only related to common knowledge and scenarios that happen in every day life. They are unable to teach you how programming, counter attack, hardware manipulation and other forms of cybersecurity tech be used in real world environments.
>>10641741920-25 years ago they were great for audio engineering stuff.
>>106417171Absolute scam school, if you listen to ONE thing I every say on this board, avoid this school like your life depends on it and don't let any loved ones set one foot on "campus", which is actually a strip mall converted to classrooms.
>>106417419Wait, is there a lawsuit I should be part of?
>>106417814Yes
>>106417419> recruit teachers and fires them after less students go trainMore on this?
>>106417171I’m sure they have been reaching out to you. Don’t you find that a little odd? If you’re interested in cybersecurity, consider just going to your local state school and getting its computer science degree. Spend as little as you need to to just get a degree. Here’s a video about a guy spending $72000 on a degree when he coulda spent half of that instead.https://youtu.be/320qcEtX140
>>106417171what part of you thinks these guys wont face the wrong end of a massive class action suit in a few years, trying to claw back tuition and GI bill benefits by the bazillions?
wow those niggas really just do follow whatevers hot. 15 years ago they were heavy into audio engineering degrees which put people through protools 101 at a 100x markup
>>106417171GI Bill bait for retards coming out of the military thinking they're going to make it big as an audio engineer game developer. A place I worked at was in the same strip mall and probably half of their "students" were just out of the Army. There's a reason dealerships, strippers, and scam schools surround military bases.
>>106418116> comments saying it isn’t a scam going full defense mode Kek
>>106417171Community college or state school, don't bother with anything else.
>>106418936Good advice. Always avoid for profit colleges like Full Sail. They also have a very heinous practice of suddenly discovering you are missing a graduation requirement right before you have to graduate. This forces sunk cost to set in so you’re going to pay to take those 2 whoopsie classes they discovered you needed so you can get your degree
>>106418974Exactly. If you’re thinking about college, the most based route to go is community college for 2 (to get your “high school episode 2” requirements out of the way) then spend your last two at a University. It costs the least and locks you in.The other thing I would strongly recommend - you NEED an internship. Go to Career Services at Comm College / Uni at the start. You need an internship because it matters more than the degree in the long run.
>>106417171As a rule of thumb, avoid unsolicited offers and always be the one doing the approaching when you need something. This will save you a lot of troubles in life.
>>106417171I'm Australian (literally the other side of the planet) and even I know this is a scam school just based on how many times its name has been used as a punchline over the past decades
