The choices are too much.
On one side I don't want to pay too much and the other side I don't want to buy e-waste.

I need a phone case for the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G. I don't want it to be waterproof, because waterproof cases cover the speakers and microphone.

Pixels produce better results for stills than any other phone. iPhones aren't very far behind though and their video capabilities are so much better than the Pixel it's actually a bit of a joke now. If you shoot a mix of photo/video, iPhone might be a better bet. I think I like my Xperia 5 IV.
I tried a 13 Mini but I prefer the Xperia by far.

I'm thinking about getting a Xperia 5 V since that seems to be the last 5 model they will make. It looks like it will only be 1 and 10 going forward. Also, I want it because the 5 V is supported by LineageOS. It's also the last "small" flagship phone Android has.
The only thing that might lure me away from this option is a Scarlet Red 1 VI. I'm still waiting to see binaries and configs drop for that however. They announced it as part of the Open Source program like 9 months ago, but nothing since.

That was my favorite phone, running LineageOS. The battery used to last more than a week. It was light weight, smol. I loved that phone. Now everything is gigantic, heavy, but at the same time, the pixels are too high density making the text hard to read.
I haven't been happy with a mobile phone since the Nexus 5. Everything since then has been worse.
