I tried Linux Mint the other day. Booted from the flash drive just fine, played around. Liked it. Tried installing dual boot, it wanted BitLocker turned off. Happily did so since my PC just lives at home. Then it wouldn't boot from the flash drive anymore, so turned off secure boot. Now it's wanting a partition to itself next to windows. The drive is 500gb. Windows will only let me partition 2gb despite over 200gb being free. I'm gonna just get another drive and dedicate it to Linux. I will say, this troubleshooting ordeal made the "...if your time is worth nothing" meme feel true.
