I have a SSD randomly going read only for quite some time, S.M.A.R.T says health status is good @100%. Have you experienced a drive failing and/or dying with a perfect healthy diagnostic ? Not perfect science I guess.

I don't even understand what SMART reports
but from my experience, "bathtub curve" isn't a meme, and SSDs will instantly break for whatever reason
