Someone please be brutally honest with me about the GPD Pocket 4. I read the specs and it literally seems like a dream device - what’s the catch? Does the battery last for a reasonable amount of time? Is it comfortable to type on while handheld? The expansion module system seems pretty cool - is it standardised and how hard would it be to make a DIY 5G module for example?

>>106449995I guess I failed to even consider the Win Mini because it’s marketed towards gamers…The pointing device and keyboard would definitely be more inconvenient to use as compared to the MicroPC, as it has to move them out of the way and make them smaller to fit the joysticks - although it is more capable and even seems to have better battery life. The lack of a fingerprint scanner is unfortunate but not that big of a deal, however it also sacrifices tablet mode and stylus support. None of these are too big of a deal on their own, but it’s annoying to miss out on those features because of the built-in gamepad I don’t even plan on using. Although Win Mini has a 4G extension module, which I appreciate the utility of.Are you aware of any other brands making good handheld PCs? Steamdeck is unrionically very comfy to use for general browsing when you set up the dpad, triggers and buttons for things like snapping/closing windows, back and forward etc. Keyboard with touchpads is just meh but you can use a wireless one.
