I've got a problem my local shop wasn't able to help with. One of the fans on my graphics card is always at full speed, the other is twitching. I already tried poking at it with MSI afterburner and MSI center, but short of disabling the device in Manager nothing can get the fan to turn off. No abnormal heat reading, and what I'm doing at the time doesn't matter, and the card itself is otherwise working just fine. Geforce rtx 2060 if that matters.
anything blocking the twitching fan? dust, debris, or other? if it is not blocked, sometimes it can be revived with a very light drop of lubricant after removing it from the card. you'd want to use a deoxit type of lubricant or something rated for electronics. you might have to ditch both fans and replace them. not a hard mod to do, there are at least a few video tutorials.

>>106437723there's a chip on the graphics card that controls pwm signal to the fan. it could have failed. the work around is to just put different fans on the card. usually means ditching the shroud because of clearance issues with replacements. so you could test the fan by plugging it into a different power source, not from the graphics card to test it. either directly into the psu or the pwm fan header on the mainboard.
