I'm not "upgrading" to windows 11.
>>
Where are you going to go?
>>
>>106437626
LTSC
>>
>>106437538
Me neither.
>>106437651
Based.
>>
>>106437538
No one should!
>>
>>106437538
Then you go straight to gulag, comrade.
>>
>>106437538
LTSC IoT
No Microshit account
>>
I unironically see 11 users as subhuman. Normies who don't know any better could get a pass but if you're even a little tech literate I'll assume you're a cuck with no backbone.
>>
Using 11 since june 2021, deal with it.
>>
>>106437651
>>106438125
>falling for the ltsc meme
lol, lmao
>>
why do retards act like ltsc is somehow a secret special good version as if microsoft didn't also make that one?
>>
>>106438375
It's not that it's any different from a normal Windows 10 install, it's that it'll still be supported until 2037.
>>
>>106438397
>it's that it'll still be supported until 2037
who cares?
>>
>>106438397
Just security updates though, watch how some games and software drop support for that build around 2026/2027
>>
>>106437538
Same but I abandoned windows 10 like nearly a year ago now
>>
>>106438403
I do

>>106438407
If a program or game I play regularly drops support for 10 then I'll consider switching. Until then though get fucked M$.
>>
>>106438262
no
>>
>>106438271
This is a mossad agent btw
>>
>>106438433
No what you retard?
>>
>>106438427
>get fucked M$
anon this is the part i don't understand. you are literally still using their operating system. you haven't achieved anything. wtf are you talking about
>>
>>106438478
They even think it has less telemetry when it has literally the same as consumer versions lmao
>>
>>106438478
I'm not updating to their version that requires me to use my Microsoft account to set up Windows. I have a local admin account on my PC like a regular person.
>>
>>106438493
U wut m8? You can easily bypass that shit and make local accounts, hell I know from memory the command
oobe\bypassnro
And that's it
>>
>>106438493
>version that requires me to use my Microsoft account to set up Windows
such a version does not yet exist, anon.
>>
>>106438488
No I don't. I literally just don't want to have to use a Microsoft account for my Windows login. That and 11 is coded by jeets and has so many stupid problems 10 just doesn't. The latest being 11's latest security patch killing SSDs.
>>
>>106438508
Don't care, didn't have to do that when I set up 10 on my current rig.

>>106438510
Then how did I set up Windows without my MS account?
>>
>>106438515
Just never install updates on release day? Also you can make local accounts in every version to date.
>>
>>106438532
If you literally upgrade your 10 install you would keep using your local account, the command is just for fresh installs
>>
>>106438549
>Upgrading Windows
Don't do this. Always better to have a fresh install. And I'm sorry Rajesh, but I'm not upgrading to 11 until I absolutely have to. Deal with it.
>>
>>106438532
>Then how did I set up Windows without my MS account?
.....because no versions of windows require you to set it up with a microsoft account.
>>
>>106438574
Lmao, you literally need a bypass script on 11 to set up a local admin account.
>>
>>106438591
anon......... that's because the operating system is designed to allow you to do that.
>>
>>106438591
>script
lol, you just press shift + f10 and type this >>106438508
>>
>>106438612
you mean through a loophole?
>>
>>106438452
Does the widdle baby need me to r/explainlikeimfive for him
>>
>>106438654
no, i mean the opposite of that. it's a feature of the operating system. they did it on purpose.
>>
>>106438654
Its a literal supported command explicitly told in the documentation
>>
>>106437651
doesn't support some features, some stuff isn't working right. it's nice, but it does have some drawbacks
>>
>>106438664
AKA some nerd added a slash command without his boss knowing.
>>
>>106438664
>they did it on purpose.
not for end users tho, stop misrepresenting it. else there would be an interface option if that was designed for end user
>>
>>106438652
Anon. It's literally a built in script that makes a bunch of changed to the registry and OS. Come on now.

>>106438612
I'd hardly call a bypass script that I need to lookup online that may be getting cut from recent preview builds even as allowing you to directly do it. Especially when it used to be just an option when installing Windows.
>>
>>106438662
You can always keep it to your retarded self and think you're so fucking great and special pretending you know something you actually don't and you don't post because you're afraid of embarrassing yourself.
>>
>>106438685
>>106438683
ok, so we all accept that windows 11 does openly allow you to create user accounts without involving a microsoft account
we have now moved on to "they probably won't let you do it later though"
>>
>>106438685
and how many % of users will use it? like 0.001%?
>>
>>106438701
>openly
nope stop eating shit
>>
>>106438701
>openly
No. It being buried in documentation no one actually reads isn't out in the open. If it was an open option it would be in the actual GUI when configuring windows. Stop being a fag.
>>
>>106438706
>>106438719

>Being a disingenuous faggot
Jeet fingers typed your post.
>>
>>106437538
It's your duty as a fellow Indian to update to the latest Windows as soon as it is released.
>>
>>106438735
anon, it seems clear that windows 11 does allow you to install it without logging into a microsoft account. we've given you the singular step. you can also just check the box when you create your installer usb with rufus.
why is it so important to you that this not be the case? did you spend a lot of time installing ltsc or something?
you're the one telling people to install ltsc, which is just another version of windows. if pajeet is ITT he's behind your keyboard.
>>
>>106438725
as far as normal users are concerned microsoft DOES NOT allow you make local accounts at install. there's no option for it, in the interface. you need a nerd friend to help you out, and that could probably go away in the future based on their behavior so far
>>
>>106438760
>I'm not updating to their version that requires me to use my Microsoft account to set up Windows.
this was the initial claim, which we now see is not correct.
>>
>>106438753
Sorry Arjun, I'm not switching to 11 until I absolutely have to. Deal with it.
>>
>>106438760
you are the nerd friend telling people to use ltsc. you could just as easily tell them to check the box in rufus when installing windows 11.
>>106438776
anon you are the one telling people to install windows. i'm not telling anyone to install windows at all. i'm just responding to the one singular reason you gave as to why you don't want to install version x over version y.
>I'm not updating to their version that requires me to use my Microsoft account to set up Windows.
it simply doesn't require this. sorry, i guess.
>>
>>106438784
>the one singular reason you gave as to wh
I also stated that it's coded by jeets and buggy as fuck, currently breaking SSDs, but you chose to ignore that for some reason.
>>
>>106438771
>>106438784
>just use 3rd party tool to haxxor the install because Micro&soft denies you make a local account
I see no option in the install GUI so Microsoft does not make it possible at install time for normal users. this is a true statement
>>
it's like saying Microsoft Windows 11 Professional is a free OS because you can use a tool to register it.
>but microsoft doesn't block it so it must be free then
>>
>>106437538
Neither do I
>>
>>106438817
>register
activate
>>
>>106438809
It’s not third party, it’s a built in command. Nonetheless, they’ve made moves to make doing this more annoying (I recall them removing the easy command and instead requiring you to change the registry manually on some version), and the functionality used is not aimed at a normal installer. It’s intended for use on corporate setups where they’re customising their install images and whatnot. I imagine it’ll be removed from anything other than 11 Enterprise at some point in future. They’re already floating the idea of “Windows in the cloud” where your OS is just a thin-client to RDP into some instance of your OS running on Azure
>>
>>106438829
activating is also done with built in commands. doesn't make W11 Pro free just because you can use built in commands to activate it. what are you on about?
or editing some system file with notepad and modifying some shit to get access to what you normally shouldn't
>but notepad is system app
holy shit

I was only addressing the third-party bit. Notepad is not third-party, it’s developed by Microsoft and distributed with every Windows install. Space Cadet Pinball was third-party, it was licensed from a third-party developer and included.

I wasn’t arguing about whether the use of the workaround is how it’s designed to be used, just that it isn’t some third party tool you download from a website (in contrast to something like Shutup10, which is a third party tool that leverages first party systems (the registry) to disable various telemetry)
>>
>>106438243
>copium and prohjection
absolutely kek
Stick to Ubuntu, moron.
>>
>>106438889
why are we talking about pinball instead of focusing on the fact that local accounts cannot be created at install time by regular users?
>>
windows has literally been a zogbotnet since win10
>>
>>106438954
Unless you took wholly deliberate action to block updates, win 7 was totally zogged.

*but microsoft hosts it so it must be free
Average people's need to grab $12 Winhoes licenses off of Groupon when needed is not my problem. Having to tolerate the full version of the annoying installer instead of taking advantage of rufus and start with a local account for the sake of getting things done in a timely manner (or for schizos to avoid using a MS account) is not my fucking problem.

>but muh "hacks"
Normies have already corrupted this word. We literally use built-in functionality of Winhoes 11, placed by the developers themselves. A hack is traditionally something like a modified nt.dll or something with actual hack(s)/crack(s) that get around Winhoes security and whatever else. That's literally what all the pirated software is, gotta insert your own code and workarounds. We're not dealing with actually hacked R2R releases or something here. I don't know why we have these utterly retarded discussions here, take it to Facebook, X, or Winhoes forums where it belongs.
>>
Misuse of the word, "hack," is normie bullshit that doesn't belong here, in my opinion.

Use case? The main reason i'd be using windows over linux/mac is because of the compatibility with the largest library of software. LTS channel is not mainstream and most of the software for windows does not support it, it also lacks basic pre-installed applications and codecs that most apps expect you to have on windows and could work poorly or not at all without them. It's some sort of frankenstein build where you use a LTS release that's intended to be used without any third party apps on it beyond special case apps like ATM software, so it remain stable and reliable, but if you turn it into a frankenstein with outdated kernel, no codecs, lack of basic ms apps and features and then try to use third party apps made for latest release of windows home, then you end up with a fucked up OS. What's the case for use?
