Xbox Series X controller?
>>
Get something from GAME SAAAAAR, they make better shit than and microsoft and sony at half the cost.
>>
dualsense is the best pc controller input lag wise and emulators also make use of its gimmicks too like gyro and touch.
>>
>>106437573
Well, you certainly can't get another one since they're all Chinese knockoffs now.
>>
literally any xinput controller. microsoft sells a ton of official third party xbox controllers that work on the real console and windows.
>>
>>106437688
^this
plus these chinkshit controllers get discounted massively very often on aliexpress, sometimes you can score some 8bitdo-gamesar for like 15$

I find the series controller comfy and with a stick that's good for fighting games, though it's on the big side. I usually use my ds3 instead since it's smaller and the stick is more suited to non-fighting games, and has some cool stuff I never use but could need someday like the analog face buttons
>>

it's great
light is annoying though

Just wait for Steam Controller 2 to come out. There isn't really anything out there worth replacing the Xbox 360 with. The Steam Controller 2 will be the next true step in the evolution of video game controllers since the Xbox 360 controller

monitoring this thread, I still rock a 360 controller that came with my xbox in 2008, and it still works fine aside from the huge ass deadzone on left analog and that the rubber coating on the sticks disintegrated a decade ago
a xbox series sex controller feels like the logical upgrade though

huh?
>>
>>106438264
Are they actually planning on making another one of those abominations?
>>
>>106437652
this
it's basically same as x360 pad, just more comfy and an insanely overpowered d-pad.

the only downside is that the d-pad is so fucking good, every other gamepad you'll use will feel like shit.
also the analogs and triggers can drift but that also happens with everything else, and you can solder in hall effect replacements.
>>
>>106437652
>get this controller
>discover they removed the spinning led wheel light that indicates that the battery is dying
>constantly have the controller die mid-game
i fucking hate microsoft so fucking much its unreal

Why would I want a cable stretched across the living room?
>>
>>106438451
Why does your battery die mid-game? My controller lasts forever on a single charge. I use Panasonic Eneloop AAs.
You didn't pick up some chinkshit rechargeable block that has 40% wear, have you?
I detect a potentially massive faggot.

are razers newer gamepads any good? thinking about getting one of these

Why is stick drift talked about everywhere now but it wasn't in the past. Controllers just wurked (until they didn't). What started the focus on it?

You're dense and you're butt hurt!

Nobody is impressed, lad! Don't try again!
>>
>>106438611
It happened before it just wasnt really talked about or that big of an issue because most controllers were well made
Wider discussion started around the time the switch came out because of it's absolutely terrible sticks that drifted after 2 months. I think other manufacturers saw how much money nintendo saved and decided to do it too, which is how we end up in a world where Microsoft's own 250 dollars controller was plagued with drift and button issues.

I'm assuming Alps started cutting corners on sensors around the time the switch came out, since joycon drift was a big enough deal to earn a class action lawsuit. There's nothing special about the stick modules in any first or third party potentiometer controller, it's down to whatever Alps supplies them.

>>106438611
Drift issues have always existed but it only happene after 3 or 4 years of use in worst cases. But usually the controllers would fall apart before the sensors were even worn out enough to have drift.
Since around the time of the bat soup flu, controllers that don't use hall effect sensors, started having drift issues in less than 6 months of moderate use. Like >>106438752
said probably sensor suppliers jewing out on quality, since the entire industry realized gaymers are the most retarded category of consoomers and will just keep purchasing another product from same manufacturer, brand and model when the previous unit falls apart in a matter of months.

unironically gamesaar, I have G8+, Supernova, and Cyclone 2. Mostly play nintendo shit. Cyclone 2 has the best performance. Supernova has a few nice extras like being able to swap the buttons, faceplates, change triggers from analog to digital, and control lighting, but the gyro on Supernova goes crazy once in a while during games, and it's a dealbreaker for splatroon. Supposedly a Cyclone 3 is coming out at the end of the year, but besides adding more back buttons, not sure what they can really do to improve it.

>>
>>106439445
Idk why you'd do that when the switch controllers have extremely overkill battery life already
>>
>>106437573
A Xbox Series controller. If you want to be cheap get one of these >>106437784 or the wired variant which are even cheaper when it breaks just get another.
>>
>>106437784
Had this, its horn-shaped handles are trash. Dualshock 4 is way more ergonomic. Also it loses radio signal all the time.
>>
>>106438653
We went full circle, back in the day for fighting games you required a good pad then people fell from retarded pro memes and now you ought to use an overpriced stick.
