shit's fucked man because of NPM and how it resolves dependencies
like, you can have one dependency, let's say leftpad, and it has multiple versions
each dependency in your project can pull in a different version of that leftpad
they solved "dependency hell" by introducing "dependency bloat" and it's way worse
