Intell is a small struggling company and their common N95-N150 cpu's are energy efficent and quiet. You can get youself a proper made in America CPU in a box computer from China for less than $100 all the while protecting US manufacturing.

At least the power button is on the side.

My tax dollars already do that even though I don't want them to.

arm sbc's are underpowered trash with no drivers
they have completely different use cases to proper miniPCs, which range from celeron tier corpo TV-boxes to what is essentially high end laptop hardware
>>
Electronics get less reliable over time so you're better of buying one new, than buying some used laptop even if the specs are better on paper.
I bought one from MINIX to use it as a tv box.

I'm using a Firebat.
Not great, not terrible.

Just go to Craigslist or whatever and buy an used office machine.

>Clevo
Might as well just cut out the middleman and buy directly from China. You can skip out on the American backdoors that way (instead of getting both the Chinese and American ones).

Optiplex's are pretty nice and easy to take apart too and so long as you've got i5 or i7 you run a pretty wide selection of old games just fine so long as your willing to forsake modern triple gAAAy slop (which I'm sure most people here are).

You'll become a raging homosexual autist but that's not much of a problem for OP so whatever.

I thought Clevo's were 'technically' Taiwanese (China minus communism) with with a mix of Mainland parts and Malay parts too because le Global Economy and out sourcing. Even cr-Apple doesn't do everything in house and rely's Worst Korea/SamSung for their soldered RAM and OLED displays.

But yeah whatever you have a good point there.
