DLSS? FSR? GDDR7? PCI-E 5? Not bad. Still not buying it though.
>>
1060 doesnt support mesh shaders or dx12 ultimate in general so its obsolete. cant boot latest api games.

Aren't we on RTX 5xx right now? Why would you buy that in 2025?

I got a 1060 in 2017 for 200$. Now, 200$ buys me only a 20% more powerful card.

Yeah the economy is busted af, that I agree with, but a RX6600 is much more powerful for $220. For a whopping $20 more you can get a whole lot on the AMD side.

That's what I did in 2023, I got a sapphire pulse 6600 to replace my old zotac 1060, I just wanted better drivers and I ended up with double the performance. Gonna stick to this card until we get a new 200€ GPU hero.
>>
My 1080 Ti was still fine performance wise.
But it couldn't output 4K HDR so I ended up replacing it.

It doesn't matter if there are no games worth playing in {{currentYear}}.
Games worth playing are at least 10 years old.
>>
I'm still on a 1080 but I would like to play some of these mandatory RTX games. Just not enough to get a new card

Buy used and you can probably get a 2080ti for around that price. Dramatic performance bump from a 1060 even if you don't use DLSS at all.

No problem, carry on avoiding these cards. Keeps the price down for those of us who aren't scared of the mining boogeyman.
I'm thinking of upgrading to a 3080ti/3090/3090ti in a year or so, so please avoid those cards too. They're all time bombs and have been cursed by a witch doctor.

I think you can on linux, the vulkan implementation in the nvidia linux driver has software RTX. I have a radeon VII and it performs like a rx6600 if I enable rtx on cyberpunk, I can also play other stuff like quake 2 rtx.

pcie 5 is usually a major drawback for anyone not buying high end cards and on non-pcie 5 machines, you get double cucked by low vram and slow ass bus due to x4 or x8 lanes instead of full x16, the 9060 xt is the sole exception to this trend in the last 5 years or so
