GrapheneOS or /e/OS? Have you tried either? what did you think?I'm considering buying a fairphone with /e/os installed but if it's trash i might as well save some money buy a normal on and install graphene on it?
>>106442300Tried both. The only benefit you'd have with a fairphone is being able to repair it. In all other aspects a newer pixel phone + GOS would win
Big fan of /e/OS, works very smoothly and never had any bugs. No experience with Fairphone hardware though.I'd avoid Graphene since the devs there have a pretty solid track record of throwing tantrums and general sperg behavior.
>>106442875/e/elo has it's own record of fuckups which is probably why they decided to change the namehttps://web.archive.org/web/20190827124731/https://ewwlo.xyz/evil
>>106443083>>106442333so which are worse?>inb4 they're both so bad the best solution is to flash ubuntu
>>106443121e/OS/ ootb is pretty bad imo. If you wanna tinker and don't care about security too much you can go with e, otherwise I'd stick with GOS
>>106443121>>106442875You should use the spergOS, the one developed by competent, serious people who regularly ship security innovations upstream. Not e, an outdated piece of shit copy of an old lineageOS version with no current security patches and is developed by amateurs who have no fucking idea of what they are doing.
>>106442875spergs unfortunately make great software. use their tools. just don't engage in their communities.
>>106443136>>106443177I'll look more into it but fuck /e/ i guess? i'm surprised anyone would associate with them they sound like retardseither way, thanks for the spoonfeeding anons
>>106442875Yeah, I much prefer the operating system that requires me to register an account with them to use the notes application rather than using an operating system whose developers may act In unusual manners that will never affect me in any way that I'm never even exposed to because I don't do a deep dive into internet randos and autistically follow their social media.
