I really like the classic laptop docking stations. Replaced my desktop PC and I don't need to sync data since I keep everything on one device. What should I get for this kind of experience after T480 becomes obsolete one day?

It's a real shame that X280 onwards has soldered RAM (it's already bad as it is with socketed RAM on these due to lacking dual channel).Modern day ThinkPads or laptops apart from MacBooks in general are baffling with 3 hours on battery on average, 2 hours under pressure. Everyone is copying Apple in the worst imaginable ways.
