Why don't laptops come with a SIM slot? Don't even want a phone anymore.

business-grade laptops usually do. I don't know lenovo very well but latitudes definitely have a slot. sometimes the slot is empty and you just have to buy the WWAN card and plug it in if it wasn't spec'ed

they probably do, I dont deal with them very often so cant say for sure.

physical sims have a level of simplicity to them that is when troubleshooting. can swap between laptops to narrow down the issues.
