The fps never goes pass two digits, what else can be done? How do you guy get it work?
>>
>>106451106
what emulator is this?
I used retroarch with mupen64 on a slow computer and it worked well
>>
>>106451106
Get a more powerful computer.
>>
>>106451229
Mupen work better desu, idk why this one even existed.
>>
use the decompiled project it has no fps cap. if you mean the emulator use vblanks.
>>
>>106451229
That's Ship of Harkinian, a native PC port of Ocarina of Time. No idea why it's running like shit on OP's system, unless he's running it on something ancient.
>>
>>106452633
Hmmm, i thought it would run on very low clock rate, but i was wrong. You would still need very beefy hardware to run decently.
>>
>>106452633
It is running like shit because it is coded like shit, using software rendering and such while Mupen uses OpenGL for acceleration
>>
>>106451106
CPU is everything in emulation, whats yours?

lossless scaling.
>>
>>106452689
Ship of Harkinian supports OpenGL
>>
>>106452777
Modded applied, integer scaling to 0.8, window size 480x320, fps set to default 20, gallium driver, version used is mcrae echo, the rest default. Rom is pal10.
>>
>>106451106
your cpu is at 1 GHz, what is it, a chromecast or something?
>>
pretty sure these "source ports" still need to emulate the non-cpu parts of the n64, namely the rcp (graphics chip), so you shouldn't expect it to run exactly like a native pc game of equivalent age/fidelity
basically, even if you decompile/recompile the mips code to x86, it's still code written for the n64's peripherals, it still outputs rcp commands rather than opengl/directx/etc unless that is rewritten
>>
>>106452720
Every new hardware still make with four core, scaling is a meme.
>>
>>106452633
OG OOT ran at 20 and has lots of framerate dependent crap so it probably aims for 20 by design but op is a poorfag so it's struggling even with that

N64 emulation is notoriously janky because the N64 itself was notoriously janky
>>
>>106453563
he said he's using the PAL rom which runs at 16.7fps. well he says >>106452841 "pal10", but i'm not sure what he means by that. one might assume "pal 1.0", but it's not pal 1.0 because op's screenshot shows a 2003 copyright, which makes it one of the gamecube versions
>>
>>106453563
No, you can uncap the fps
>t. played it at 144 with no issues whatsoever
>>
>>106452878
It is low power and stable speed, any overclocking can break everything.
>>
>>106453800
oh. ok. im not familiar with Ship specifically, just Core OOT Code Lore
>>
>>106452690
Cpu and gpu? Idk what is the requirement for this software, it doesn’t mentioned it need bleeding edge driver support.
>>
>>106451106
What kind of shitty device are you using?
Im able to hit 60 fps on a steam deck at 3w tdp (literally the lowest you can go for) and 200MHz GPU, even while using a HD texture pack.
Either you are using a 30yo PC or a deprected RasPI
>>
>>106451106
I'm afraid your smartfridge can't run it at full speed.
>>
>>106453766
The pal version of OOT/MQ run at 20fps. It's one of the few gamecube game (with Metroid Prime 2) that does not support 50hz

Switch to Vulkan
Check for internal resolution
Lock framerate to your refresh screen
Troubleshoot visual mods
>>

Proof? 1080p at 200mhz not even windows version could pull that.

>>
>>106452922
It's the Gamecube version thoughever. I heard that this version is notoriously buggy but that's what the PC port based on.
>>
>>106455728
Internal resolution has passed a point lowering it doesn’t increase fps further.
Vulkan probably won’t work since it doesn’t state the vk version required, i believe it has to be 1.3 or above.
Lock framerate to refresh screen doesn’t increase fps much either, may be 1 or 2 fps at modest.
Visual mods all set to default.
>>
>>106458016
Emulator does work much faster unironically.
>>
>>106458044
the gamecube release is just an n64 rom running on an n64 emulator written for the gamecube, there's no version actually native to gamecube
>>
>>106458493
don't say that anon, some lunatic might try to write one.

i heard someone did a ps2 port of sm64 so i'd be surprised if someone hasn't already made a gamecube oot port
>>
>>106458493
Didn't they make the iron boot bindable to the keys that don't even exist on a N64 controllers on that version? It's not purely N64 rom.
>>
>>106459402
i haven't looked into it deeply, i've just heard it's a regular n64 rom. as for making buttons do things in the game that don't exist on the original system, that's not difficult to do with an emulator, as you can affect the game in ways that don't even involve the controller. in emulator terminology, "cheats", or more technically, via memory manipulation
>>
>>106451106
>4 cores
oh dear
>>
>>106459484
Making iron boots equip/unequip on the fly in quite impressive. I don't think any N64 emulator cheats accomplish that so far.
>>
>>106458044
it's buggy because it's being run in an imperfect emulator, emulation-related bugs aren't an issue when running the rom on a more modern emulator
>>106459490
the roms for the gc releases are modified compared to the original, and not just the copyright. there's a number of changes. however, the rom is still completely an n64 game. it will run on a real n64.
looking around, it seems they changed the iron boots from being something you set on the wearable equipment screen to a regular item that can be equipped to the C buttons

I ran that at 30fps on a core2duo Dell XPS from 2010 that constantly overheated with a radeon 3850. I don't think whatever you're running it on is up to the job, mate.

Why would you want to play a nostalgic old game but with bizarro modern specs? Isn't this contradictory

I would play when it is playable, but it was never mean to be playable.

Running by itself in a default configuration? Or is there anything extra? Like HD packs, mods, frontends, etc?

Hey, do you happen to know how do I get to work for Nintendo?
>>
>>106465123
Nintendo of America/Europe, apply on Linkedin.
Nintendo of Japan, move to Japan and get a referral from another game company.

No.
If you're (>>106464616), I'm asking because I might try to play OOT some day. I'm not a Nintendo employee.
