We asa society probably shouldn't have allowed this. Computers designed from the ground up exclusively for encouraging passive consumption and actively discouraging creation or experimentation or productivity shouldn't have been allowed to become so popular, especially among young people who are only just learning to use a computer.

>>106452000I have a personal website. I made a couple flash games in the 2000s. I've made a lot of chiptune music during my tracker phase. I released one app that flopped like ten years ago. None of these are things you can do on Chrome OS unless you're using a 'web app' to do it. You get websites and extensions and that's pretty much it. The most creative you can be with a Chromebook is, say, composing emails or editing documents. It's no way to live.
