Does pacman still break x org in current year? Why bother with this when debian is stable and just werks.>>>/wsg/5963067
I am on Arch for 7 years or so and pacman never broke on me, don't know what people are doing with their machines that it breaks.

>>106451585This has been a discredited meme for decades at this point. Besides I've been using KDE Wayland for quite a while and it just werks.

>>106451585Not any more. Arch was my first distro 15 years ago and I remember updates breaking Xorg a couple of times. I distro-hopped back to it in 2022 and I've had no problems since then.

>>106451585In current year you don't even have xorg.conf since everything works by default. But if by some reason you need some static Xorg configuration you do it in xorg.conf.d which is not managed by pacman

>>106451585No, it has never done that
>>106451634Well now you know why your Arch install doesn't break and why it does for other people.
