I am going through deleting my accounts and transferring them away from my Gmail, but what email provider can I use instead for accounts that I don't want to delete but is associated with my Gmail account (since I plan on deleting it I need to replace it with a new email address).I know about cock.li and I like some of the domains, but can I use my own domain?I'm thinking of making a disroot account too unless there's something I'm missing it seems good not that I looked particularly deep in to it.Last option I am considering is self hosting I believe Luke Smith made a video showing how to do that with the correct way to make it not get sent to spam.Sorry for making this thread I know it's been done like 9000 times already
+1 this is the only conundrum stopping me from deleting my Google accounts
>>106455587>only conundrumIs this really the only problem you have with Google?
posted it again award
>>106455529If you are in Fourteen Eyes go with Proton and just use aliased emails (masked emails). Otherwise go with fastmail and use masked emails (aliased emails).Masked/aliased emails are fake emails so you dont have to give your actual email

>>106455941thanks I guess
>>106455529I like runbox. Ultimately you have to accept Email isn't a secure form of communication. The act of emails going through fiveeyes countries means they're probably snooping and recording them, and while they're encrypted up until the carrier, at some point they have to be decrypted to be put into your mailbox and that's usually where they put the attestation.
>>106455676Also this, Proton is the GOAT when it comes to privacy. Runbox is fine for privacy but ultimately its private through obscurity, most people don't know about Runbox and you can bring your own domain (expect every single registration site to throw a fit about that if you do, though)
all me btw
