It's a good way to think out some new ideas on how to do something, compared with flow state where you are unable to think abstractly because of over concentration. In those 10 minutes, you shouldn't just do "something else", you should do something entirely different, just to make your brain escape from the cage of one topic thinking, which is bad for creativity. Yes, programing is related to creativity.
