i work in a skilled trade, not i.t., but its the same. we have top earners get fired all the time because they dont make so much profit to compensate for dragging the shop morale down. you can produce 2x the next best guy but it doesnt matter if you made 3 decent workers quit or start sandbagging. maybe if you can do an entire departments work all by yourself you can be an asshole. but if you are that good, again, start your own business.

There's no real reason for a dev to hate you.
The blame should be on the project manager. They're responsible for triaging the project including the bugs.
Sounds like the culture is bad too.

If I were you I would slow down the pace a notch and improve while padding out the bug reports.
